Review from Guidestar

I have donated to this charity for years and did some volunteer computer work for them this year. I personally visited the mission at
Christmas this year and witnessed the number of families getting toys
for there children . Tyler's Mission was the Gaston County representative for the
TOYS FOR TOTS program this year and has worked with the Marines for the past few years.
I have watch Tyler's Mom pull food from her own freezer to feed families who show up at the house needing food.
I myself have taken food to stock so that there is food to take to a needy family or to be given to a family that shows up for help.
Never in the 13 years I have known this child and his family have I witness anything underhanded, no scams, etc. Yes, someone who
writes or knows about writing grants is needed but for now this mission is being run by donations only. Most of the donations come from family, friends, and volunteers.

I visited them in December to deliver some computer work. They were over run with clients picking up toys for their children. These parents were not just walking out with one toy, they had a bag of toys, a bag of candy, and a bag of toiletry items.

Have known Tylers Mission for over 7 years. As a retired minister, have volunteered with their Food Ministry and distribution of toys to needy. Have been blessed by the total honesty and transparency of Tyler, his mother, and volunteers. "Unto me who am less than the least of all saints is this grace given that I should share among others the unsearchable riches of Christ" is my life verse. When I see the folks with Tylers Mission, I catch a glimpse of Christ. God bless this ministry.

Crooked charity with a mother that skims the pot. Grant writer wanted so mother can live off if Grant. Food Charity stocked Tylers personal pantry so is it really giving or returning ti what food was intended?

For the past 13 yrs. tyler has been reaching out to the needy not only during the holiday season but throughout the entire yr as well. He started at age three and has gained a large volunteer base who, some are seasonal and others are year round help, with the food and clothing. Young Tyler is now 15 yrs. old and has a heart as big as gold. His mission helped over 20,000 families with an average of 5 children per household, last Christmas season. This year the numbers are well above that already sadly enough. Even though Tyler and his mission receives very little financial support, he has yet to turn away anyone who is in need of his help! He looks at all people as "his children", and goes beyond normal. For instance, his food ministry is suffering because of not enough donations, however, he gave personally from his food at his home so people could eat. It's just as well though because when he hears of someone going without food, he refuses to eat until he knows for certain whomever has food to eat as well. He's only 15 years old and I can promise you one thing, if you or anyone ever needed help during the holiday season(s),Christmas and Easter, needed clothes to wear, or food for your hunger pains, then Tyler would humbly be there with his arms extended willing to give you a helping hand. I'm one of his veteran volunteers who will help him with "his children" for many years to come. He's quite the missionary and with him no words are hardly spoken because his actions do sincerely speak louder than any word ever could.

I've personally experienced the sheer gratitude and relief of so many people relying on Tyler during their hour of need. So many thousands of people, tearfully hugging him and are genuinely grateful for the help that his mission has provided them. Tyler's really on a mission to do his part in helping as many people as possible.

Have a paid staff and the funding to keep it going on a day to day basis. It's so needed. A Grantwriter would be the first person on board as well as different staff members to oversea the diffent departments. I would also find a permanent building to operate from year round with a loading dock.
