This is such an incredible opportunity to help people living on the streets. It is ideal for small groups. There is not a huge time commitment;a couple of hours. It is so well organized & efficient. A real blessing to be able to provide good, clean, useful clothes & other needed items.

My church has volunteered many times at Turning Point and we regularly donate clothes and food. We always have a great time there, today we did bingo for the seniors and we spent almost 4 hours there.

The bingo is a big hit we do thios all over Houston at various shelters but we never have as big a turnout as we do here.

make the services more available i hear they are over-capacitated right now

This Homeless Shelter does a decent job. They are trying to weed out homelessness in Houston and I know that will not happen. But they seem to be working hard to try and reduce homelessness tremendously. They accept all kinds of donations, and you can call and ask them what they accept exactly. I have been impressed by the strict rules they have. I know they have to be strict, but even with my being impressed, I don't think they are strict enough. But at least there is a shelter here!

I am always happy to visit Turning Point and I was able to bring some much needed cold medicine and some clothes. The lady I spoke with on Friday told me there was a bug going around so this trip I made sure to bring in some much needed cold medicine. Turning Point has been providing this wonderful place to help people and I try to do my part.

We just came to drop off some extra winter coats we found Turning Point on the web and were very imppressed with their track record.

I recently became acquainted with Turning Point and my experience today as was the last time was fine. They came to my house and pick-up up our sectional living room set that we are replacing this weekend. The driver and his helper were real nice and quickly moved the items without breaking anything or being to much of a disturbance. I asm happy to donate my items to Turning Point as my dealings with them have been very professional.

I have been donating clothes, food and furniture to Turning Point Center for a long time. They are a great non-profit and I belive in the work they do.
Other organizations take what you donate and then sell them like Goodwill, Salvation army etc. I like Turning Point because they do not resell the items and if they cannot use them at their place they are networked within the community to share with other shelters so that ui know my donations are being put to good use.

The first sight you see as you enter The Turning Point Center is a beautiful life size statue of an angel. The landscaping is very well laid out and manicured you can tell that they take pride in their facility. I brought some household items to donate and they even offered to come to my home and pick them up however I already had it loaded in my suv. I first read about Turning Point on the internet and I must say after visiting them today I can see why they have been the recipient of so many awards. The work they are doing to help our older homeless should be commended.

We take our all of our donations to TPC last summer we donated our older Mitsibishi 60 inch big screen and today I donated 2 more tv's . Turning Point provides a place for the forgotten and lonley senior citizens and I wish every city in America had a place like Turning Point.

Came to Turning Point with St Mark's Peanut Butter Brigade we come here to the help the people. I think Turning Point is doing a great service for the homeless.
