My physical introduction to Truthout was on April 26 when George Lakoff shared a pannel with Norman Solomon, KPfA hostess, Bonnie Faulkner, & Sonoma State professor, Cynthia Boas. The success of this event acknowledges the efforts of my group of activists at Marin Peace and Justice Coalition, finding partnership with the energy of Truthout staff and service. Reading their articles have been a regular part of my intellectual diet for a while now.

Truthout is a top rate news provider, and a vital one. They touch the stories that no one else will. And in addition I have found them to be accurate and dependable. So far I have not found them to be in error, lying or exaggerating, or giving a 'spin' to a story to promote a specific viewpoint. This type of old school journalistic integrity is rare and valuable in this time of 'fluff' news that has been watered down and 'tailored' for 'consumers'.
