Substance abusers are only an unpleasant statistic we would rather not know about, until you or one of our own becomes one. Suddenly you want to know why, how and where this happened, how you can fix it, and where can you go when you can't do it alone. Many times you will find more doors slammed in your face, including prison doors, than answers. Often, when you finally find a place that seems to hold the answers, the price tag is beyond your means. Where do you go then? Over 68% of the people treated at Tri-County Human Services, Inc., last year alone, earned less than $10,000.00 per year or had lost everything to substance abuse and were totally indigent, but they were not turned away. The same high quality, science based, professional care was afforded to them as anyone entering with a fat pocket or great insurance. And that is where the difference starts, the caring. From the physicians to the technicians to the administrative staff, you will see a level of dedication to service here that is seldom seen or felt in agencys of this nature. Many of our counselors are former users, so they can walk the walk and talk the talk that helps get their message through to the person so desperately seeking help to quit.
