It's astounding that this organization is allowed to exist with the lack of competency at the senior level management and the board of directors (some minor exceptions). It is a highly toxic environment and wholly mismanaged.

While the Division of Banks and the NCUA state that the
management and board is weak - they continue to allow virtually all the "players" stay in their positions. In fact they recently approved the firing of their CEO and allowed the Chairman to become interim-CEO. The Chairman by law must reveal his beneficial interests at the April annual meeting. So too must the COO. Ironically, a board of directors of a credit union is specifically prohibited by state law to be compensated. And yet he is and was. How can all of this go on in a highly regulated environment? Very strange indeed.
