The Toonseum contributes to Pittsburgh's vibrant cultural scene by providing a series of thought provoking programs and exhibits. The Toonseum is another great reason to visit the Downtown Pittsburgh Cultural District.

The Toonseum is a great museum, but more importantly, it's a fantastic community resource for cartoonists and comics fans in Pittsburgh. As an amateur cartoonist in the city, the Toonseum has connected me to all manner of other cartoonists, from those internationally known to those toiling away silently out of the public eye. Their community events, release parties, and more have gelled the once-disparate Pittsburgh comics scene into a tight-knit, active base of people who love the cartoon arts and participate in frequent gatherings. I mean, there was a decent community before but it existed as smaller circles of people who rarely joined into one large group. But now, thanks to the Toonseum, our comics community has become smarter and stronger.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Make them do even more! Move them into a larger space! Give them a bigger budget! Have them hold weekly community events!
