Tickets for Kids Charities

Over the years, our partnership with Tickets For Kids has added tremendous value to the programs we offer to our Club members at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania. They have made a significant contribution in providing quality experiences to places and to events that many of our children would never have experienced. Seeing children's faces with excited expressions and bubbling conversations while riding a bus with friends on their way to Idlewild Park, or seeing them cheering on their favorite sports team at a local stadium while eating a hotdog, or participating in hands-on activities at the Science Center, you know that Tickets For Kids is an organization making a positive difference here in the Pittsburgh area. We are a proud partner with them in the effort of making our children's lives better, of fulfilling some of the dreams children have, and providing life experiences that are rewarding.

We had a great time at a recent Pens game we were able to attend through tickets we got from Tickets for Kids. You all make it possible to inspire these students and give them good thoughts and dreams ... how do I thank you for all of that? I never can, but I can see it in the eyes of the children and how it changes how they see themselves. Incredible!

The response of the chidren is just wonderful. I couldn't do what I do without Tickets for Kids. These outings give these students something else to think about at night.

We have received tickets twice from Tickets for Kids as a referral from Cirque du Soleil. One agency for foster children and on which I serve as board secretary; and another student enterprise nonprofit, for which I received the Volunteer of the Year Award 2004-2005 were recipients. We saw Delirium several years ago; and last year we saw Corteo. Both groups of children and parents were most grateful for having received tickets to experience the magic of Cirque du Soleil. We are most grateful to Tickets for Kids as both recipient agencies are located in Los Angeles, CA and the foundation is in Pittsburgh. You see distance is not a hinderance. This is a great group and we appreciate them very much. The children now know what possibilities there are for creation of music, costumes, stories, and entertainment that is not ordinary.

benefit more children who usually are ex posed mainly to Disneyland, Magic Mountain, and other familiar amusement parks.

I used to be the Program Coordinator for a Partnering Agency for Tickets for Kids Foundation. The level of opportunities they provide for students is really incredible. My students and their families have recieved tickets to go Bowling, see the Black Nativity, go to the Symphony, go to a Pirate Game, visit the Zoo and see the Diary of Anne Frank (after they provided us with the books for the students to read first). They're really an asset to the community.

Tickets for Kids does amazing work exposing so many deserving children to great community opportunities. By providing opportunity, Tickets for Kids promotes confidence, literacy, and healthful fun among community youth.
