On Sept 10 through 12, 2010 thirty of our members and their families took our annual weekend trip to Pine Grove Dude Ranch. We had a BLAST! We can't wait until next year to get together again. Thanks to all who came and made the trip so much fun!

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

the joy that is on our special members faces.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

try to bring in more members of special needs.

More feedback...

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the friendships that we have grown.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

extrodinary.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

go far beyond the special members dreams.

Ways to make it better...

more of our members extended family members were involved.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

the dwindiling members. As our speical members parents pass away we loose more membership.

My name is Dana Levinson . I have been a part of TNAEE my entire life, literally along with my family. My uncle John Dimperio has Down Syndrome and has been a member of the organization since he is seven. He is now fourty eight. We have made many long time friends and now call them family. Throggs Neck Association for the Education of the Exceptional is a non profit organization that began back in 1969. It was started by a group of parents of mentally disabled children when there were no support groups. The members then consisted of Down syndrome children. We now have multiple types of mentally disabled people. Our mission is to provide a social setting and support that will enable the mentally/physically challenged, to develop their potential, help them spiritually, socially and athletically so that they will better function society.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the family I have grown with. The people I have come to love.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

kind and generouse people.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

grow and take our specaial members on a great life experience. We would be able to have the biggest party of their dreams, get our bus to transport them back and forth to bowling on Saturday instead of them taking public transportation.

Ways to make it better...

our past board was more up to date with today's technologies. Also if we were able to come together to better our cause.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

now over. We have a new board of directors who are looking to move our organizaiton forward.

One thing I'd also say is that...

I have grown as a person because of my being able to be a part of each of our special members lives. They have taught me what true love, compassion, honesty and friendship is.
