My experience at stride center has been great i've been learning a lot and the instructor Mr. Trudeau is a great instructor. He knows the material in the book. I recommend this to people that are looking for IT training for a good reasonable price.
The Great!
- I've seen the results of this organization in... Hopefully getting my A+ certification and i've already started using everything i've learned to do side jobs.
- What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is... The staff is really friendly and they try to encourage you to complete your courses.
- The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were... Nice, friendly and motivating.
- If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could... Be big in training and teaching a whole lot more people to become successful.
Ways to make it better!
- My experience would have been better if... If they had better newer equipment and more room for the classes to take place.
- If I ran this organization, I would... have newer equipment to work with.
- In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are... Getting people to stay in the courses without getting discouraged.
- One thing I'd also say is that... Time flies so if your looking to get certified in the IT business stride center is a great place to do this at.

I have made at least a half dozen referrals to Stride for students in need of vocational training. I am familiar with many other training programs and each one has it's own nitch.
The Great!
- I've seen the results of this organization in... Four of six adult student referrals enrolled and completed Stride training. All four became employed in their chosen field. Pretty amazing considering how poorly the economy has been performing.
- What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is... Stride is a professional organization. Staff and instructors are great role models and teach the students how to behave as professionals. Both skill sets and attitudes are developed.
Ways to make it better!
- One thing I'd also say is that... I can't think of a thing that I'd change.
I was a Professional with expertise in this field & WFO partners with the Stride Center to provide support to their students to Find Jobs, Keep Jobs and Build Careers.

The Stride Center is a fantastic organization! As a partner, we work together with them to provide professional clothing, mock interviews and career development support to their students and are continually impressed with the quality of their training, the students and the change they inspire. Our corporate partners are always impressed after they interview the students. The staff is impressive and supportive of all of their students.

- What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is... The organization is set up to help their students each step of the way - from technical training to mock interviews to job placements.
- The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were... The staff is unbelievable. I am continually impressed with their dedication, results and strong relationships with their students.
- If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could... Open training sites across California and create partnership streams to service computers for some of the largest companies.
Ways to make it better!
- If I ran this organization, I would... Find more companies to partner with for job placement and technology support.
- In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are... Finding the resources and partnerships to expand!
- One thing I'd also say is that... The Stride Center is one of the best organizations I have worked with in the non-profit sector. We're thrilled to have our partnership and look forward to continuing to work together moving forward.

I've been following the growth of The Stride Center since the beginning in 1999. The social value of this organization is extensive. Changing people's lives over and over. It's been an honor to now be working for the organization I admired from a far. The good work inspires us all to keep at it every day.

- If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could... Serve some of the most impoverished communities across the entire state of California. Create jobs! Connect thousands of people to broadband. Refurbish thousands and thousands of computers for the community.
Ways to make it better!
- My experience would have been better if... Supporters, there is such a needs and the message about this work needs to be known and supported.
- If I ran this organization, I would... Align with more corporations for jobs, computer donations for refurbishment and philanthropic support to expand and help even more communities.
- One thing I'd also say is that... Knowledge is power. Skills is confidence. Opportunity is life changing.

As a supporter, I see first hand how The Stride Center helps people change their lives! It's more than just a training program or nonprofit - The Stride Center helps people with all aspects of their life, not just training or jobs. It teaches life skills, helps develop support networks for students and creates networking opportunities for professional development. And the students work so hard to achieve their goals here, it is a life-changing organization, no doubt.
