I have had the honor and pleasure of volunteering for the Seany Foundation for the last few years thanks to my friend Amie Forte who introduced me to Mitch and the family when I moved out to California from Arizona almost 2 yrs ago. This family based team is one of a kind. I typically volunteer for various organizations on a weekly basis so my experience is broad however this particular team brings a level of compassion, love and professionalism that is extraordinary. I always look forward to each opportunity that I am offered.

Keep up the great work changing and transforming the lives that are directly or indirectly impacted by dis-ease.

Seany Shines On!!!!

Besides being a donor, I've had the opportunity to volunteer a couple of times at Seany Foundation auctions. The generosity of the donors, the commitment of the foundation members and the tangible good it does in helping fund pediatric cancer research made my volunteer experiences at these auctions truly memorable.

I've not only volunteered, I've donated to The Seany Foundation from the very first days of this organization. I was close to Sean Robins, the young man for whom this Foundation was named and the inspiration for it's existence. The Seany Foundation supports the noble goal of eliminating pediatric cancers while, at the same time, seeking to provide pediatric cancer patients with the same social opportunities as their peers. The organization has provided patients, their family and their friends with a chance to enjoy movies, parties and proms, as well as a safe, secure and accessible "teen room" where these young people can find peace and comfort, if only for a little while, in between their medical treatment and chemo regimens. I cannot think of a greater purpose for any organization and The Seany Foundation is to be highly commended for its selfless service to so many in need.

I knew Sean Robins and I know Mitch and Amy Robins. They have transformed their devastation at losing their beloved Seany into a crusade to eliminate the horror that is pediatric cancer so that no other family will ever again have to experience what they (and too many before them) have experienced. The Seany Foundation, since its inception, has raised awareness of the existence of pediatric cancers, raised money to fund research toward eradication of the disease and raised the hopes and spirits of so many young people now bravely fighting against their condition. The Seany Foundation is all about hope and, more importantly, perseverance--moving forward one step at a time, one day at a time--until the cure can be found.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

the creation of the research chair at UCSD Medical Center, the Seany Robins Teen Room at Children's Hospital, sponsorship of the prom for cancer patients and so many other ways.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the selflessness of the Foundation and its founders, Mitch and Amy Robins and also the commitment of the Foundation's volunteers, donors, and others associated with the fight against pediatric cancer.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

fantastic and awe inspiring. People of all ages, backgrounds and experiences have come together in force to participate in such a worthy cause.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

make a serious run at funding the research necessary to finding a cure for pediatric cancers.

One of my favorite foundations to dedicate my volunteering to is Seany!! I was lucky to know Sean and feel lucky to be part of the family and foundation.
With the Seany Foundation, I have been able to bring "doing good deeds for others" to the attention of very young kids.
My own
children's preschool has done Lemonade Stands and Trike-a-thons...to raise money for The Seany Foundation.
The family is so incredibly warm and welcoming, and they always show up to meet the kids and, in a very appropriate way, THANK the kids and let them know what they have done to help other children not as fortunate. This is just the start of making magic for the Seany Foundation!

This was my first opportunity working with The Seany Foundation. It was an amazing night! I got to DJ their Poker benefit and the vibe and energy was amazing from start to finish. I hope that they had as much fun with me as I had with them! Great organization!

I've been volunteering for this organization for almost a year now and the reward has been tremendous. The people involved in creating and growing the efforts for the Seany Foundation are what make this cause so special. Their empathy, creativity, and hard work make for uniquely effective results. It's a privilege to be a part of it.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

how gracious and grateful they are to every single person involved...

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

kind, generous, grateful, organized..plain folk in the worst of situations, still passing on their experiences and sharing their tradgedies as well as what they've overcome..never forgetting their mission..

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Branch out to other communities, then cities, then states..

The passion that you see from those involved in this foundation is infectious. From the founders, board members, organizers, and volunteers you see an intense commitment to carry on the fight for whom this foundation is in honor of, Sean Robins. The rapidly accelerating success in awareness and donations is a testament to their effectiveness as an organization and their tremendous potential.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Be proud if I were able to come close to the pace at which this organization is growing.

Involving myself in a cause that I know is making the lives of children better and supporting Sean's fight against cancer.

Achieve their present goals and put itself in a position to set their future goals even higher!

Ways to make it better...

someone decided to donate $1,000,000 to the foundation

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

the same as any foundation of this sort...raising enough funds to accomplish the goal of beating cancer.

One thing I'd also say is that...

The efficeny at which the Seany Foundation deploys it's funds does not compare to any other organization I've seen, non-profit or otherwise.
