This foundation has brought nothing but positive awareness to an ongoing disease. It is so important that people understand Seany's story, not only to help stop the brutal battle of various sarcomas, but other cancers as well. The creation of this organization has allowed Sean’s name and life to live on. I feel very fortunate to be apart of such a wonderful organization, because it has made a connection to so many people, especially those close in age to Sean. For Sean’s peers to hear his story and become apart of his life through this foundation, it has opened endless awareness and motivation for the fight against cancer.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

The relationships formed from events, and the more awareness that has become a product of this foundation.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I would not make any changes. The Robin's family and the rest of the Seany Foundation crew has done such an excellent job that I probably would do no where as good of a job as they have thus far.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

The events allow you to enjoy yourself while still giving back to a great organzation. Every event defines an aspect of the life Sean had, and it has allowed those that attend the events and read about Sean's story to better understand the person he was.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

So positive! They know how to get everyone excited to help out, and touch people's hearts at the same time. They are one big family fighting for a cause that is so important, and that has been such a great thing to see.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

It will happen, just you wait and see. This foundation has endless possibilites, and it would not surprise me one bit when the foundation reaches that goal. But when it does, Seany's story will take this world to new heights, something Sean would love!

Ways to make it better...

If I was able to attend every event, and have more money to donate to the foundation.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Establishing an even bigger following. Economic times could be a huge part of it, but even though money can sometimes be an issue for some, the events are so worth it!

One thing I'd also say is that...

The Seany Foundation deserves this award. Sean was a miraculous human being and wanted nothing more than for those around him to see the world as he did. He had so much love and compassion for everyone he met, and this foundation has let that love live on

I worked at The Seany Foundation during it's first two summers. We started with a goal to fund a research chair at UCSD Moores Cancer Center with the help of those who love Sean. TSF has since expanded it's goals and its network of loyal supporters. The future is nothing but bright and all involved with the Foundation have no intention of slowing down!

I have been involved with The Seany Foundation for 6 months and they have continued to put on fun and exciting events that community members of all ages can enjoy. The foundation is dedicated to eradicating childhood cancer and I am convinced they will continue to have a significant impact in the lives of many families.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Being able to draw in community members of all ages. The foundation has such character, similar to a mom and pop restaurant; they make involvement in their event a memorable and personal experience that makes you want to get involved.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

do nothing different.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the eclectic mix of different events the foundation organizes. They are committed to their cause and make sure that their donors are having a great time in the process and that their support is appreciated.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

extremely kind and welcoming. You can tell that the people working for the foundation are there because they want to be.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

fulfill it's current goals as well as future goals like re-opening the physical therapy rehab pool at Children's Hospital, opening a special exhibit at the San Diego Zoo, etc. The founders continue to have numerous ideas that will benefit the community.

Ways to make it better...

I would have known about them earlier.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

finding big sponsors and donors. Most companies already have a charity of choice they contribute to and it seems as though they only way to get your foot in the door is to have a personal connection.

One thing I'd also say is that...

The Seany Foundation deserves to win the great non-profits awards. They have raised almost $400,000 in just a few years and most of that has been from small donations from the community.

There is so much to be said about The Seany Foundation. I have attended almost every event, and they just keep getting better and better. For a charity that has only been around for 3 years, it is exceeding my expectations. Every event is different, with two things as a constant: they are always amazingly fun and the remind us and everyone who attends just what we are fighting for. The volunteers who are working for this charity are unbelievably open and willing to do whatever it takes to get this cause going. The Seany Foundation is going to do big things, so watch out!

Excellent organization. I have participated in only two of their events and they are truly a class act. Additionally, from what I hear, they are always looking for ways to increase the amounts earned from their events and use that for research. What a great cause and a great organization.

Because there is passion and inspiration they are set apart. Add in the mix of love of life and tremendous imagination and you have the Seany Foundation. From tremendous pain comes incredible effort to make a difference in the world where childhood cancer is eclipsed by other causes. What is more precious than our children? God Bless the Seany Foundation and its founder Mitch Robins, his wife and family. It can restore faith in humanity to see LOVE IN ACTION. THEY ARE LOVE IN ACTION! Sean is proud, watching from Heaven.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

the fact that a chair is being funded for UCSD.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the incredible imagination for fundraising, the true hearts of the founder and family, and seeing results.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

awesome.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Fund the chair and get more major players to build "brand awareness" for the childhood cancer cause, such as has been done with breast cancer.

Ways to make it better...

I lived closer and could be with the family more.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

raising gloabl awareness fo childhood cancer as an extrememly importnat cause, Not just women and yogurt... we need Crayola and Fisher Price in on this!

One thing I'd also say is that...

I LOVE YOU MITCH AND FAM, AND SEANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Of course, I'm biased, but I have to toot our own horn when I say we are doing some fantastic work to help our the kids under treatment in our local community. Our events not only help raise funds for our projects, but they are fun, too. It makes being philanthropic twice as fulfilling.
