The Parent-Child Home Program is truly a magical experience for all the children who are fortunate to participate in the organization’s services. The organization's staff are exceptional and the home visitors are extremely dedicated and caring. I have been amazed to see the transformation in young children who are involved in the services and additionally the impact to their families. As a mother of three young children, I think the program is critical to early education and undoubtedly can change the future of a child.

I am still as captivated by the mission of this non-profit as I was when I joined the board years ago: to ensure every child arrives in school ready to succeed! The Parent-Child Home Program continues to grow and scale itself in order to be able to deliver the home visiting service to more children and families in need. The program is research based with proven outcomes, increasing high school graduation rates for families that participate in the program! I am extremely proud to support this organization in its important mission.

I joined the board of this wonderful non-profit organization because I was drawn to its important mission: to ensure that every child arrives at school ready to succeed. The program works through home visitors modeling for parents of 2 and 3 year olds the types of behavior that will assist the children in developing the literacy skills they will to progress successfully in school. To top it all off, the program has proven results: children who participate in the program graduate from high school at the same rate as middle income students! A focused mission, helping people help themselves and proven results! Those are the reasons I give this organization the higher mark!

I joined this board in 2005. I wanted to become connected with an organization that had real and positive impact on the lives of children. At the time I joined I was excited about the results the program gets and how simple it really is. Research has shown that the two and three year olds that go through the program graduate high school at that same rate as their middle class peers. The organization and the individual sites have wonderful, talented and smart people who work joyously and passionately to bring the love of the reading and learning to disadvantaged children. It has been a privilege to work with the National Center Staff. Their yearly conference with speakers who are the leaders in Early Childhood Development have been professionally and personally enriching!!

I joined the board of PCHP about a year ago. I was looking for an opportunity to add back to my community. Once I heard about what PCHP did I knew I had to be involved. As a mother of a 3 1/2 year old son I know how important it is to get an early start on education. This organization is so invaluable - they go into homes weekly to work with 2 to 3 year olds and their families to provide early education opportunities. It's been proven that the children who recieve this opportunity enter school better prepared and benefit through out their educational career.

The Board is a group of passionate and talented professionals who volunteer their time to ensure this organization successfully executes its strategy and goals. The Executive Director is a committed and experienced professional who leads with grace and expertise. The work PCHP does is sorely needed as we look at how our country compares in the world economy. Early childhood education for all children is critically important to the future of our country and our ability to continue to lead in the global markets.
