Not only does the Lily Sanctuary provide the very best of care to parrots in need -- they have also helped me in my time of need offering advice and assistance when I needed them!! They also ran to help when I heard of an escaped parrot who had been lost in the asphalt jungle for several days. With their expertise and through the mud, rain, and flooding, were able to rescue him. BRAVO LILY SANCTUARY...what a wonderful place you are!

I contacted the Lily Sanctuary a long time ago because I wanted to adopt a companion bird for my Illie. The people there are really friendly and dedicated. They take very good care of the birds people have given up on. my overall experience was great, although I didnt find the right bird for my Naomie.

I've been acquainted with the Lily Sanctuary for over 10 years. I can't imagine a better or safer bird rescue. All bird are treated with kindness and respect. Each bird's unique personality is honored and encouraged. Staff and volunteers both work tirelessly with all sorts of birds. Some are easy to rehome and others have major behavioral problems and require extra TLC. They find it at the Lily Sanctuary.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
their absolute and total love for each and every one of the birds they take in.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
Wonderfully kind, thoughtful, attentive, and respectful with all the birds.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
provide refuge for all unwanted birds. As it is, there are times when birds must be turned away due to limited space or financial constraints.

This is a wonderful place with wonderful people who care very much about parrots. I found myself in the heartbreaking position of having to re-home my 2 parrots, but knew no one who could take them. I dealt with Sue from the santuary and she was very helpful & understanding. I still miss my parrots desperately but knowing that they are being lovingly taken care of helps ease my mind.

I volunteer with several animal groups mostly with cats/dogs. Several times people will need to find their bird a home and really do not know where or who to contact. We will give them information on the Lily Sanctuary. Thank goodness for the Lily Sanctuary who will help anyone with a bird in need. People just do not understand that birds are very needed and live a long time. Birds are not like cats and dogs that live a much shorter live span. The Lily Sanctuary has a great volunteer base of people. These volunteers deal with so many different types of birds. A volunteer spends a great deal of time getting to know the birds. Each bird has his or her own unique personally. As Venette has said they are like two-year-old children forever.
