It is the mission of the Kansas City Boys Choir to provide a forum for developing and enhancing the mind and to bridge cultural gaps thru music in the classical boy choir tradition, service and scholarship.

Our tutor program is set up to meet the academic standards established for the choristers. Each child is responsible for submitting school grades during the reporting period. Our Education Director maintains that a C or below is grounds for a tutor. Tutors are available each Saturday. The program also provides guidance for students who need help with school reports and projects. In addition to the tutor program, the Education Director mails to each parent of a choir member a character development profile sheet. This provides our staff with an in-depth knowledge of how parents perceive their child and provides us with a greater insight on how we should move forward to correct issues at hand. It also gives us some direction that we should take to validate how parents would like to see their children respond at home and in the public.

Reviews for Kansas City Boys Choir

Rating: 5 stars

Both my son and grandson have been a part of the KCBC. One has now graduated and the other is still a part of the choir. Through music I have seen not only my children but many others blossom to become productive members of our community. The KCBC/KCGC instills in these young people a sense of pride, community and commitment to eachother as well as those who come afterwards. The work of the volunteer staff is professional and I consider myself Blessed to be a part of this organization.
