The JT Dorsey Foundation had a productive beginning. The children seemed to thoroughly enjoy their time with JT Dorsey and the other volunteers, which seems to be the most important aspect of this program for these children.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

interacting with the children.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

completely dedicated to the children and the program.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

expanded and incorporated into other cities. Another option could be is to build a home location for the foundation with an indoor/outdoor facility. Soccer gear could be purchased for the children. 10 million dollars would give this program so many options.

Should this review be counted for a specific campaign?

I loved working with the JT Dorsey Foundation. JT is so enthusiastic and passionate about his mission that it rubs off on everyone that is involved. We were able to see a tangible change in our kids throughout the summer. It was one of the best experiences of my life. We may have had an impact on the kids, but it could be no where near as great of an impact that they had on us.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

the shift of the attitudes of the kids in the program from the beginning to the end.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

get local businesses on board.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

working with JT and getting to experience and help with his mission.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

wonderful and passionate.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

use its resources to turn the urban problem into a positive experience. The passion is certainly there, now the resources need to come.

Ways to make it better...

we were able to have more material to use.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

lack of resources.

One thing I'd also say is that...

I think this program is destined for great things.

I am associated with a small, primarily latin soccer club based in Philadelphia. The JT Dorsey Foundation has become an effective resource and partner in delivering training, exposure and soccer equipment to the children I work for. The sincerity of the JT Dorsey Foundation founder and its mission set a strong baseline of confidence that have facilitated this partnership. Recently I was included as a chaperone for a group of boys and girls on a trip to Washington DC. The trip was a great oppurtunity to bridge relationships between a diverse group of children using soccer as the common factor. I am very proud to have been able to accompany and interact with all of the participants. Keep up the good work!!

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the bringing together of diverse groups and children.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

sincere humanitarians.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

reach into many areas where people do not typically tap oppurtunities because they do not know how, what or where the oppurtunities exist.

Ways to make it better...

more children had been served.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

funding and penetration into areas that need it most.

The JT Dorsey Foundation is a great organization providing at-risk children and their families an opportunity to be successful in life through after-school programs, camps, and much more. The members of The JT Dorsey Foundation are great role models and a positive influence in the lives of these kids. They teach the value of education and the necessary life skills to help these kids succeed.

The first day of the program seemed to be a success. A good amount of children showed up. They all excitedly participated in all of the activities prepared for them. Each one of them seemed to have an exceptionally good time. They were all excited to get the opportunity to run around and touch the soccer ball a little bit.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

the joy on the children's faces after their session is done for the day.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

do nothing differently.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

interacting with the children and seeing them smile.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

very friendly and excited to give the kids an opportunity such as this.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

be open to more children in more areas throughout the state and perhaps the country. The kids could even possibly recieve more equipment.

Ways to make it better...

the children had been on time so they would be given more time for the other activities.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

achieving long lasting effects since only one school comes at a time in a rotation of five. It is weeks before the same kids have the opportunity to come again.

One thing I'd also say is that...

I support the mission of this program!

The JT Dorsey Foundation is very professional. I was involved in planning a training for teachers at an alternative ed. High School. The plans were always made to meet the needs of the organization that was sponsoring the training. In depth training was made available for teachers, TA's, administrators, counselors and special ed personnel. The client was always kept foremost in the planning.

The JT Dorsey Foundation has been an asset to the community by introducing the children to soccer. The JT Dorsey Foundation is not only concerned with teaching children a new sport but it also has a mentoring aspect to the program where older children in the program will mentor the younger ones.
