1160 Broadway, 5th Floor New York NY 10001 USA

The Jazz Gallery provides an international cultural center which traces and promotes current developments in jazz. The Gallery’s primary focus is on the youngest generation of professional jazz musicians, whom we nurture by giving them an audience for their performances and a stage upon which to assemble their bands. The Gallery also encourages established musicians to present new projects and collaborate in performances with emerging artists. In addition to very high quality live jazz music, the Gallery presents and exhibits visual arts, theater and poetry inspired by jazz.

Exhibit, promote, encourage, sponsor, and provide the knowledge of all music, art, and literary works in all media, including, but not limited to jazz and related arts.

Reviews for The Jazz Gallery

Rating: 5 stars

When I first moved back to the Apple, I headed to the Gallery because I knew the acts they presented and wanted to hear them live. I found myself experiencing many of what I call those "special nights," when the musicians and the audience are all lifted into the air by their combined presence and the music that generates. So when I was offered a chance to join the Board, I was happy to do so. Since then the Gallery has continued to be a place where musicians and audience meet to celebrate the creativity that is "jazz." So it goes without saying that I am proud of the chance i have to contribute whatever I can.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Watching many young jazz musicians from around the globe develop into even more impressive generators of music that reaches deep into the souls of people lucky enough to hear them.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Give it enough money that it could function and grow without worrying about paying its bills!!!
