Many venues come and go. The Jazz Gallery has persevered through tough economic times and been a place for emerging artists to develop new music.

I have performed at the gallery. They take such good care of the people they present, and work incredibly hard on behalf New York's jazz and arts community. I couldn't think of a more deserving venue for this award.

The Jazz gallery is providing a neutral environment for musicians to develop their craft in. I believe it is directly responsible for a huge chunk of the innovation that is currently happening in the jazz community in New York City, which in turn is spreading throughout the rest of the world.

The jazz gallery is definitely one of the best jazz clubs in New York. It's a very unique place, giving a chance to young musicians to start a carrier in town and also for musicians who have been on the scene for awhile. Keeping a fairly low entry fee, making it easy for students and pretty much everyone on a low budget, to go and hear some of the best music in the world. The staff is very friendly and always helpful. This club definitely deserves the most support!

Jazz Gallery is certainly one of the most precious live music venues of New York City! Every city should have an efficient way to present new talent that pushes the boundaries like this place. Since the inception in 1995, Jazz Gallery has been a major contributor of support for New York's emerging artists. I along with many other great and important musicians got my start at this venue. This place attracts the very demographic that new artists are searching for, and in turn provides a hub for those who crave new, innovative and inspiring music. Non-profits like Jazz Gallery are very few and far between, but absolutely necessary to stimulate our society's culture through live music.

The Jazz Gallery has been the home to many of my musical projects over the past 8 years. In New York City, there are few venues that exist to present music from creative and/or emerging musicians. I value the Jazz Gallery as both a musician and an audience member because of the values they consistently espouse.

Jazz Gallery hosts some of the most interesting music in New York; at a time when bland commercialism is affecting art at all levels, the Jazz Gallery allows a space for artists of integrity.

The Jazz Gallery is one of the first clubs that I visited in NY, and eventually became a significant supporter of my early career in the New York music scene. They seek out and introduce young musicians to jazz lovers who usually become a loyal fans enthusiastic friends. The Gallery is run by true musicians and devoted artists and serves both the general NY community and the Jazz world at large like no other club. It is the number one spot to witness serious musicians, young and old, in the most eclectic, interesting settings and programs.

They simply need more substantial and consistent funding. It's a wonderful place and the events are creative and paced well in their calender.
