Being an Intern for this summer session has been quite a privilege. The amount of lives that the foundation positively affects is not only vast but graced with great quality. It is not very common to find an organization that is not just throwing money at problems, but is investing in people to solve their own problems. Its comforting to know that 100% of donations go directly to the projects in Ghana and Haiti, not to capital expenses and employee salaries. The professionalism and progressive goals of the foundation have given me nothing but a positive outlook on the potentials for this organization.

I volunteered with the iF Foundation in Thibeau, Haiti for the month of June in 2011. The experience was unforgettable. As a business student, I gained knowledge about business in a third world country. The iF Foundation is working hard to help Haitians find their way out of poverty. They do not give handouts but instead they teach people about what it takes to build a lasting business. They provide loans to people who have developed business plans that they feel are promising. When the loans are repayed, this money is put into another project. The iF Foundation is not about a temporary fix but instead strives to change the lives of Haitians. Everyone I met was driven, passionate and committed to the foundation's mission.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

my time spent in Haiti seeing the different projects including the rabbit farm, goat farm, pig farm, chair group, candle group, fish farm, plantain farm and more.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

continue to manage the businesses until they learn the methods to run their own business.
