When i first came out as a Gay Christian, my life was falling apart. My parents looked down at me, my friends thought I was insane, even my church kicked me out. But the GCN helped me along, the people are the best, the workers and volunteers are so helpful and the owner.. well words can't describe how much he's helped put my mind and spirit at ease.

GCN provides a truly unique and desperately needed service to the LGBT community and it's allies. There are few organizations that provide the level of support and community that I have experienced with GCN. They are saving and changing lives daily with the way they are serving this community!

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

The relationships and connections I've built with the LGBT community, as well as other allies around the country that are working to build bridges between the evangelical church and the LGBT community.

Just keep doing what you're doing!

Before finding GCN I was having a hard time reconciling my faith with my sexuality. I'd embrace one part of who I was, and ignore the other to try and fit into what every community I was in at the moment. It was crazy. The friendships I have made at GCN have let me embrace myself as a whole human being... one who is Christian and gay.

The Great!

friendships I have made. Many friendships in the gay community tend to be superficial. My GCN friends are family.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

try to have more retreats where people could pray together.

I am a Christian gay man that has struggled with how this could be for 27 years. I came across The Gay Christian Network after coming to the end of my rope so to speak. I found there a community of people just like me! I found many interesting articles that helped me tremendously on my journey to accepting myself and realizing that I am accepted by God.

This organization offers hope, encouragement, and affirmation to those children of God disenfranchised by the Church. They make the concept of "What would Jesus do?" more than just an idea - they MAKE IT A REALITY by inclusiveness and acceptance of ALL Christians.

Since I became a member of Gay Christian Network (GCN), their mission-mindedness has rejuvenated my faith and services to humanity. The Organization has reached out to so many people in and outside the country who are being marginalized, discriminated and bullied because of whom they are. They're working hard to give hope to the hopeless, help to the helpless, home to the homeless and love to the hated just because of their sex orientatation. This is mission in practice. I owe them every thing good for their growth and expansion.

GCN has really given me a circle of friends that truly understand and support me in the things I'm going through. They reach out and help others with no kind of expectations for anything in return.

When I learned that my son had discovered he is gay, I was concerned for his belief in God. GCN helped me to see that gays can definitely be Christian!

GNC is the only christian non profit orginisation in the world that seemed to excist on the internet. Being a citizen of Germany, it was not possible for me to communicate with any other GLBT Christians in my city. With GCN, I am connected to others who believe and want to make a difference in the lives of young members of the GLBT society.

My family ws not very supportive, and being able to realise that there are other GLBT christians, who even would like to help and contact me, really changed my life. Dialogue is very important for someone in a depressive situation like I found myself in.

Through the DVD "Through my eyes" (a project of the GCNetwork), I was able to open the eyes of those in my direct surroundings, conscerning the GLBT youth, and esspecially the views of christians in the matter of homosexuality.

This site would be missed, if ever it would not excist anymore.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

reading about it on the GCN Website.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

like the orginisation to be able to have roots in Germany too. If finances reach, it would be wonderful to continue the work of GCN in Germany.
