GCN is not just a web community of gay and lesbian Christians (and allies), but we're a close knit family. In addition to providing a safe haven to ask questions to help foster our faith, GCN is instrumental in helping build self esteem, friendships and healthy, Christ-centered lives each and every day.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

the way people are able to grow as individuals in their faith and self-esteem. GCN offers sensitivity when necessary, privacy to those who need it, and abundant love to all.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the strong sense of spiritual direction this group has and the knowledge that not only is my presence benefiting me, but by sharing of myself, I am also benefiting others who are looking to serve Jesus Christ who just so happen to be gay.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

courteous, helpful, extremely friendly and complimentary to every member. Everything on GCN and behind its founding is done with love.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Reach gay, lesbian and allied Christians in all corners of the globe, expanding awareness about gays and lesbian in ministry and how we are not that different from the straight members of our church.

Like Nikki, I am a straight ally and have been involved with GCN for about three years. The value I see for furthering my ministry is twofold. I have firsthand relationships with a group I am trying to fight for justice for and I have a place where I can point people to. Several times a week, I am able to say in person, e mail on the internet "do you know about GCN, got to ..." It is a wonderful social community and resource.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

the lives of people who know they are acceptable to God.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

need to be gay and God didn't make me that way.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the relationships and the information I can access

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

wonderful examples of the Jesus I follow.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

saves more lives in the LGBT community be getting the message out that they were created by God an acceptable to Him

Ways to make it better...

no complaint here, none

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

appealing to a wide range of Christian backgrounds when so many are rejected by their own denomination. In the real world , denominations spar and somehow it is all managed on line a GCN. how do they do that?

One thing I'd also say is that...

Justin Lee is one of the finest people I have ever met.

The Gay Christian Network allows not only a safe place for gays but something more! They are naturally progressive through their feelings and experiences. They are driven by God in truth and light. This community of people does not hide themselves or seek refuge here.. They go out into the community raising awareness and breaking down walls people have set up. These wonderful people treat each other with respect and take their work in the church seriously.

GCN has had an amazing impact on my life. I found GCN at a time when I was still struggling with balancing my sexuality and spirituality. In GCN I found an amazing community of people who were there to support me and bless me at a time in my life when I needed it most. Now that a few years have passed I am not quite as in need of the support anymore but GCN is still in my life because it gives me a chance to support others the way I was supported.
