hi justin,
i like addressing things to a person lol anyway.. i look to become more involved* within the gcn network and here is why.. you're Awesome! no well that's true but seriously gcn has helped me mostly through the video ministry (streaming) i've listened to many episodes and have been extremely encouraged in my Christian walk.
one specific example how gcn has helped me.. my faith has been strengthened and relationship with Him restored.
... this work is saving lives :-)

GCN has helped me stay grounded in my faith when the rest of the world tells me that I'm wrong. Without GCN i don't know where my faith would be today! It's made me so strong and I don't have anymore doubts!

GCN is an organization that has been helping folks who are struggling with reconciling their sexual orientation with their faith. I have been heavily involved with them for three years, and have seen first hand the difference that this organization has made in the lives of those who are members and those who seek guidance and support. Often, this organization is among the first contacts a person makes on their journey of reconciliation. The staff, while modest in numbers, is augmented by over 100 volunteer leaders and many thousands of active members.

I personally have grown in my faith, my understanding and acceptance of my sexuality, and have gained hundreds of new friends who are supportive and contribute positively to my well-being and spiritual journey.

GCN whats can I say, one of the only public non-profits that support the belief system of Gay Christians. Im proud to be a member and would encourage anyone to log in and get connected.
GCN is a cornerstone they Ive had the pleasure to be apart of that hellps me connect with others who believe in Christ and are gay.
Life is tough, God is good, GCN is there for you.

GCN is the most amazing group of Christian people. 3 years my life was a mess I was attending a church that did not accept homosexuals. I would attend church and pray that the Lord would fix me and all week I would push back all my thought s and feelings holding them inside. never talking about them for fear that my family and church family would hate me as much as i hated myself. Then one day I will never forget it I sat at the computer and a google search for gay Christians. What I found was my new church home. I was welcomed with open arms and told that I was ok, that it is ok to be me. I joined in the message boards and quickly made friends that will be in my life forever. Through those Godly friendships I learned that it is ok to be gay and that Gods love is not only for the perfect christian man that walks the straight and narrow. but God loves me just as I am. I threw open the doors of the closet and and stepped out about 3 months after finding GCN and I have never looked back.

GCN is a place where I can go as a person of faith; a catholic gay man.I can go there to chat with other gay catholics and the broad church of christianity. So many gay & lesbian people recieve negative messages from their faiths that this place is truly special in that it is affirming and has something for every type of christian. I can do this whether I be in the warmth of a place where i am accepted, tolerated and valued by my fellow human beings or on one of those cold days when I have heard or experienced hate. St Francis said "that in giving we recieve..." so additionally on this site i can support others in heir faith and human struggle to live.

During chapters of my life when I had no brick-&-mortar faith community to speak of, GCN offered me the loving support and empowering community that I needed in order to grow further in my faith & be reconciled to my identity as a gay person. From the few years I spent as an active posting member there, I experienced and witnessed countless others experience transformation directly as a result of access to other faithful gay Christians and so many loving allies. The effect of GCN on my young adult life is not to be underestimated. I regard them as highly worthy of any available funding or institutional support.

I remember the user interface being a bit clunky, but this was several years ago and I know that GCN has continued to evolve and update to reflect current technology.
