Gay Christian network is a valuable place and has provided a safe haven for those of us who might not be able to express ourselves as we'd like. The network itself provides great resources as well as the message board providing other resources and support all in all this place is a great online community for LGBT and non LGBT Christians alike!

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

The fruits of their labor of love. I have seen peoples attitudes and hearts change about who they were. I've seen gaps in the christian community being bridged all due to GAy Christian network and other such places.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I wouldn't change a thing.

More feedback...

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

The friends and relationships made by getting to know others in the online community.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Very friendly and helpful only wanting the best for the organization as a whole.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Do soo much for the LGBT community ten million dollars could fund GCN for a very long period of time and help them continually make the organization a better place to be.

Ways to make it better...

Couldn't have been any better.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Keeping the organization running and continually making it a better place due to lack of monetary funding.

One thing I'd also say is that...

GCN IS AWESOME!!!!

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

employ the present owner and retire to the seychelles. He's doing such a fantastic job, he's irreplaceable.

welcoming, supportive and prepared to go the extra mile.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

reach out to more people who are feeling isolated, depressed and confused.

Ways to make it better...

the organisation had more money to employ an IT worker earlier. It's only happened recently. More funding would lead to an even better experience.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

funding to continue to expand it's outreach services.

I love GCN and would like to see it continue to develop

This organization is possibly one of the most influential organizations for LGBT folks that have deep religious convictions. The Gay Christian Network services members of the LGBT community that happen to be involved in the Christian religion. Christianity in the United States and throughout the world, in modern times, has been known to have prejudices against those in sexual minorities. The Gay Christian Network provides an inclusive environment to over 12,000 people each day in helping them learn that being LGBT is not incompatible with Christianity. There are countless numbers of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered Christians that are theologically conservative but have been harmed by the Church. GCN is the most active and influential organization that helps members and clients realize that they, despite of their sexual orientation, can participate in the Church. Both the LGBT community and the Christian community misunderstand each other. The Gay Christian Network, I believe, is the largest organization that is working to bridge the divide. They are actively trying to tell LGBT folks that Christianity is an inclusive religion (despite what many Christian leaders say), as well as trying to tell Christians that people who are LGBT are perfectly normal and should be included in the Church.

that I've met tons of people and developed more as a person.

Ways to make it better...

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

lack of needed funds.

One thing I'd also say is that...

GCN has been an absolute gift to me in my life. In a time when I felt completely lost, confused, and alone, GCN became a haven for me. Through my friendship and fellowship with other members of GCN I have come to be a more confident person not only in my personal life, but spiritually. I have found the love and redemption that was promised to all of us, gay and straight alike, through the sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ. I have been able to reconcile my relationship with God and have entered into a new understanding of who God is and the depth of His unconditional love and grace. I thank God for GCN.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

My own life and the lives of others around me. I have read the pleas of other gay Christians struggling to find a place to belong in a world where they are often persecuted by the very people who preach God's love. GCN gives them, and me, hope.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Look into ways to partner with gay affirming churches throughout the world so that the members of GCN would have an easily accessible list of places that they can go to where they can worship God in an open, loving, and accepting atmosphere.

More feedback...

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the opportunity to fellowship with other gay Christians and draw strength from their testimonies and trials. GCN gives hope to the weary and downhearted, reaching out to people on the fringe and welcoming them into a place of solace.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

wonderfully devoted people, dedicated to making a difference in the lives of others. I think one of the things that makes GCN so different is that there is no glory for those behind the scenes. It's not about them. It's about the people. It's about God.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

I don't pretend to know what God has in store for GCN or what He could allow this organization to do with 10 million dollars. All I do know is that GCN has created miracles in the lives of many on a very tight budget. With God there are no limitations.

Ways to make it better...

Wow, tough question. It's hard for me to be critical of GCN, especially since they have done so much for me. I guess the only real way I could see my experience thus far having been any better would be if GCN had more of the resources it needs to grow.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

the ability to get people involved. I found GCN through a web search and many others come to GCN through word of mouth from friends. We need to reach out to people in a highly visible way to reach those who may not even know a place like GCN exists.

One thing I'd also say is that...

we need a way to engage Christians who have questions about what it means to be gay. Many straight Christians have questions and are in need of a safe, non-threatening place to find out what the gay Christian community has to tell them.

The Gay Christian Network was there for me when I was first realizing/accepting my sexual orientation & needing to talk about it and not knowing where to go to do so. I didn't feel safe discussing the matter with anyone I knew at the time, and being a sold-out Christian, I wanted and needed to know if/that other believers were going through the same things, and how they were dealing with it. The comfort I received from the members I interacted with gave me the courage to accept myself as I am.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

interacting with people like me- who love God and also happen to be gay- its the neatest thing to have that kind of fellowship where you can just be yourself and be loved and understood, especially considering the unique struggles gay Christians face.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

I met Justin and several other GCN'ers at a conference recently. Great people!

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

reach and help more people that may really be hurting and really need it.

Ways to make it better...

there had been a local gay Christian group in my area so that I could have interacted with other gay Christians face-to-face- though initially, I think the safety of the internet experience was what enabled me to reach out at all.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

financial struggles and all that covers - reaching out to gay Christians, their friends and families to bring support and help build a bridge of understanding, hope and love.

One thing I'd also say is that...

I thank God for this ministry!
