GCN's presence helped me find help when other groups didnt know how to meet my needs because I am a Christian and Gay. I was at the breaking point when I found them. The support of other men and women who understand and encourage moral values within the community helps tremendously.

The Great!
  • I've seen the results of this organization in... building self esteem, locating new friends, crisis intervention/counseling
Ways to make it better!
  • If I had to make changes to this organization, I would… expand their reach 10x!

GCN has single-handedly been an absolute rock in my life since I discovered GCN in 2009. I have found the support and understanding that I have been looking for during most of my adult life. Being a gay-christian, much less a single gay-christian, having a support group of whom you can lean on and talk with has been so refreshing. It has been so amazing to discover that I am not alone on this journey and I have met some amazing people along the way -- Thanks Justin for GCN!

The Great!
  • I've seen the results of this organization in... my daily life! I've been able to use GCN to meet local friends experiencing the same struggles and victories in their gay-christian journeys.
  • What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is... it's ability to bring together a community of people from similar experiences with common goals.
  • If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could... reach more of the hurt and downcast community of gay christians that the church has pushed aside.
Ways to make it better!
  • If I had to make changes to this organization, I would… love for them to have a bigger budget!

Gay Christian Network (GCN) is an awesome organization for the LGBT community. I believe it has touched the lives of tens of thousands of people. GCN provides support, resources, and a sense of community to gay Christians and their friends and family. There have been numerous instances when I looked toward the members of GCN for prayer and support, such as with family members passing. A few nights ago I spoke with Justin Lee, creator and CEO. He is a very dedicated and welcoming man. I am always in better spirits once I speak with him. Justin is a knowledgeable and charismatic individual. He is very passionate about reaching out to those who are feel they cannot be a follower of Christ while being gay Many of us in the Christian community have been touched by Justin's generous and loving spirit.

The Great!

  • What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is... the support that I have received from other individuals in the gay Christian community.
  • The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were... generous, understanding, patient, and helpful.
  • If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could... reach an astounded number of individuals in need of love, support, and Christ!
Ways to make it better!
  • If I had to make changes to this organization, I would… There is not anything I would change about the organization itself, but I would revamp the website with a new look and features.
  • In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are... is the economy.
  • One thing I'd also say is that... I LOVE THIS ORGANIZATION!!! God put this organization in my path. Praise His name for it!

GCN has been a great place to interact with people and has been spiritually uplifting. It is great to have a place to go where I can post questions, frustrations, or blessings and find others who know just what I am talking about, and are right there with me. It has made a huge positive impact on my life.

The Great!
  • I've seen the results of this organization in... my own attitude and outlook on life. It has been a positive experience to relate to people from all over the country who are in the same boat as you are. It has given a great sense of connection.
Ways to make it better!
  • If I had to make changes to this organization, I would… More opportunity to interact via chat.

I was a Professional with expertise in this field & I facilitated discussion about hot topics with other members, and arrived at very concrete conclusions. I am becoming more involved with each passing day... this organization's ideals are something I have already decided to devote my life to.

First and foremost I want to say this... some organizations say "everyone is welcome," and some mean it, some don't... The Gay Christian Network takes it to a whole new level. Everything they strive to do, they do in a spirit of unconditional love. You need to be involved with this organization regardless of your sexual orientation... it will radically change your life if you let it. I honestly can't make my experience fit in this text box, but I will tell you that if you are having ANY struggle with being LGBT, THIS IS THE PLACE YOU NEED TO BE!!!

The Great!
  • I've seen the results of this organization in... the core of my being, and in observing how it changes lives for the better.
  • What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is... Their relentless spirit of love and outreach. If everyone on earth was like these people, we would rid ourselves of poverty, disease, and war within 50 years. I guarantee it.
  • The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were... Amazing... in every possible sense of the word.
  • If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could... Change the world. Not even kidding.
Ways to make it better!
  • My experience would have been better if... I had found it earlier.
  • If I had to make changes to this organization, I would… Change nothing. They're already headed in the right direction.
  • In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are... Closed-mindedness, ignorance, and budget.
