The Future Leaders Institute

I was a participant in the program as a high schooler from 07-08 and I can say that FLI really taught me how to create tangible action steps in order to implement a project that benefitted the community. I believe in the mission of the organization and have volunteered at the Legacy Awards ceremony, where a number of the students are recognized for their work. It's inspiring to listen to the diverse projects that the students have created and the legacy and impact that it could and will have in the future. If you enjoy working with youth, then this is the place to volunteer your time and energy.

This organization leads to inspiring outcomes, and needs to become part of our youth development landscape in more than just the 10-15 schools in which it exists! I have seen the impact again and again, and I'm impressed with how much they have accomplished during these tough economic times. Bravo!

Being a FLI mentor is a rewarding experience! Both of "my" teens were able to publish their own written work and the sales of their sales have benefitted important causes: 1) helping women on welfare to secure jobs, and 2) helping to build an India school
