This is a non-profit horse rescue staffed entirely by volunteers with a love of animals-especially horses.
There are currently about 56 horses,10 pigs,2 goats and 2 donkeys at the ranch. Many of these animals
would not be alive if it were not for the ranch. It is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the animals. The horses can be sponsored for a monthly fee which helps pay for the costs of caring for the horses. Some of the horses are rideable and some are not due to arthritis and other non-life threatening conditions. ALL of the horses are wonderful, beautiful animals . Going to the ranch to feed, clean stall, bathe and groom horses is something I look forward to all week long. The ranch depends on our donations of time and money.

This place, for me is my Peaceful and Loved second home. We have the love of all the Equines kids (because this rescue animals are more that just the word : Horses), the feeling before arrive and know soon (in minutes) you will see them again, they will put their faces waiting a simply : hi or....hello did you bring the carrots today, or the eyes expressions of LOVE, RESPECT, ADMIRATION, HAPPINESS THAT your Equine Kid show when see you,......IS UNIQUE .... , that's before arrive. Then when you finally can in. and find the all people of the team that give to you welcome and they are happy to see you too, after this, you start your day in F.R.I.E.N.D.S......you feel the second emotion...when you have to go to real Home jajajaja even if you are tired you miss them already before leave. This is my particular experience. About the people team...they are Respectful, Helpful, Fun and just Great. The most IMPORTANT for me, is that they LOVE, SAVE and HELP all the Horses. I give thanks GOD to have a place like this in Florida. Because really.....for me is a Blessing this Place, the Team and of course,.....my Equine Kids. I don't want forget to mentioned the other rescue: The Brothers (Pepe and Eeyore), the very funny sisters (Elle, Salt and Bella), and they partners group of Pigs. And of course I continue my volunteerism because, i have my equine son there, and the other need also from us, the people love them. So if you love animals and you want meet a special love...come to visit us. We clean them, we bath them,we fee them, we love them....and they give to your life wisdom, love and respect from God. This is true. The only way, is to meet, understand, love and respect your horse. Isa Carolina Capaldo.

I consider FRIENDS ranch my second home. My second family. After first starting on February 25, 2012 this place means everything to me; the people and the animals. It is a very friendly environment for all ages. I learned and am still learning everything there is to know about horses. IF I COULD I WOULD LIVE AT THE RANCH

I had always wanted a horse growing up and, over the years, I had taken some lessons here and there but things never really clicked. When I found out about the sponsor-a-horse program at F.R.I.E.N.D.S., it sounded like a perfect fit. I started volunteering at F.R.I.E.N.D.S., then sponsoring one of their horses, and fell in love with the horses there and the ranch. I learned a lot about horse handling, improved my riding skills, and would highly recommend the program to anyone who is interested in learning more about horses and horse ownership.

I used to donate to other places, but stopped the moment I knew and saw what they do at FRIENDS, it is absolutely WONDERFUL, I am so proud to be a donor to this great place where the horses REALLY come first. I love it and hope that other people would go over there and see for themselves and help this animals. Here, there isn't a single horse that is turned away and they are all brought back to health and all have a happy home.

FRIENDS is one of the only true horse rescues I have seen. Horses have been rehabilitaated from abuse and extreame neglect. They take horses that anywhere else would be put down, due to medical conditions, age or prior owner's inability to make money using the horse. All of the horses at this ranch are worthy of a happy "horse" life and did not deserve their prior treatment. If you are reading this please make an effort to donate to help continue to save the horses.

A wonderful place for any animal lover to volunteer. A great way to own a horse with out the major expense. Anyone with desire can volunteer or sponsor a horse, no experience necessary. This is a wonderful organization saving some beautiful, soulful animals in need.

My family and I visited FRIENDS Horse Rescue 3 years ago. We visited with intentions of making a donantion for the horses. Three years later we STILL sponsor 4 horses! We love FRIENDS and all of the horses. It has been a fantastic experience, as we were not horse people. We are horse people now!!FRIENDS is a great non profit horse rescue. It is also a wonderful place for families to get together for a good cause. My kids have become good riders and have learned a lot about caring for animals. They love the horses. FRIENDS has a "sponsor a horse" program that lets people sponsor their own horse to take care of and ride. The sponsor money helps to take care of and feed the horses. It is a great opportunity for people that want a horse, but have no place to keep one. The fee is nominal. I highly reccomend FRIENDS and plan on being a member for a long time!

FRIENDS Ranch is the greatest place to volunteer at. You are interacting with the horses, goats, pigs and donkeys as well as working with a great group of people. Everyone is helpful and upbeat. It is a ranch that the whole family can enjoy and know they are doing something positive for the animals. I have volunteered with FRIENDS for the past 12 years and love every minute I've spent working there.
The Great!
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
how they care for the animals and love what they do.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
caring for the needs of the horses, goats pigs and donkeys
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
upbeat, enthusiastic and willing to help...great team spirit
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
buy land for the horses, build state of the art stables and never have to worry about depending on donations to survive especially when the economy isn't doing well.
How frequently have you been involved with the organization?
