This organization is transparent so I offer no changes to this organization at the moment.
The Character Education Partnership's organization outlines Eleven Principles of Effective Character Education which provides a framework and rubric for infusing character education in a school, with students, for parents and community. CEP also provides a user-friendly "clearinghouse" of lesson plans. And finally, their National Schools of Character Awards showcase public and private K-12 schools from around the world.

Using the 11 Principles of Character Education Quality Standards in all of our district elementaries has caused substantive and positive change in the cuture of our school communities. This rubric for analysis, growth and sustained change (the 11 Principles of Character Education) can guide any school, or district toward becoming a system where character matters, is taught, demonstrated and integrated into all aspects of the school day. Thank you, CEP for helping our district grow in character. Sincerely, Claudia St. Amour Elementary Character Education Facilitator Birmingham Public Schools Birmingham, MI

The Character Education Partnership is a national leader in the character education movement. Its vision to promote quality character education in all schools and ultimately build a nation of "value-able" citizens is achieved by making available resources, professional development, support, networking opportunities, and visibility to effective programs in character education. Their State and National Schools of Character awards program honors exemplary programs in character education, encouraging and empowering them to reach out and inspire others around the world. Their National Forum connects educators and influencers from around the nation (and beyond its borders!) and provides a platform for sharing promising practices and collaborating to create a climate of caring in their character building.

The only thing I can think of is if they were able to offer Forum registration at a lower cost but they've already made that change by giving a discount to this year's Forum volunteers.
