Tejas Storytelling Association is an excellent organization! Presents performing arts events and workshops in schools. For storytellers - and those who wish to explore storytelling - presents several opportunities to learn, listen, tell and grow as an artist or enthusiast of human stories. Operating as an all-volunteer organization; they can always use a few extra hands or donations to expand upon the mission! But everyone is dedicated and works hard to bring multicultural, performing arts to those who wish to share the magical experience of tellers/listeners jointly entering the realm of imagination of orally-told tales from ancient to modern times. Mission: "The mission of Tejas Storytelling Association is to perpetuate the art of storytelling throughout the South Central Region. TSA will continue to promote all facets of storytelling and to expand the understanding and experiences of storytelling by nurturing storytellers and listeners and recruiting new audiences." http://www.tejasstorytelling.com/aboutus.htm

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

learning about storytelling and its vast wealth of resources - from ancient to modern, contemporary stories stold by professional storytellers!

More feedback...

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

meeting very amazingly talented and dedicated people. It is easy to develop mutual friendships when everyone is greated as a long-lost friend!! Everyone who appreacites storytelling

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

teachers, librarians, folklorists, scientists, ministers, professors, and optimistic folks who are very devoted to improving the world - one story at a time!

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

change the lives of so many - from toddlers to elders - by sharing storytelling as a optimal tool for educating and communicating human values and ideas are universal to all cultures and age groups.
