Tech Go Green, a California Public Benefit, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Southern California, is dedicated to fostering energy efficient technology and renewable practices so that our natural resources are sustained for all life on Earth. Our mission is to cultivate a sustainable community for everyone through our Green Community Initiative, a comprehensive program that strives to educate the public and private sectors about the benefits of going green and transform old attitudes into progressive endeavors.

Commerce, in all its manifestations, both public and private, has a profound impact on every fact of life on Earth, specifically our natural resources. If we have any hope of solving the grave ecological problems that will confront humanity in the next few decades, we will need to look hard at the sector that employs the most people, uses the most technology, has the greatest impact on the natural world, and is at the very heart of many of the environmental troubles we collectively face - the business sector.

We work to inspire green innovation in the workplace by educating building users and escorting business owners through the process of incorporating sustainability into their facility, policies, and operations. This includes determining an entity's current environmental impact, outlining any steps in a customized Sustainability Design to lower that impact, and providing a road map to implement these changes in the most economical and beneficial way for the building and the environment.

Our audits include an examination of energy and water use, waste and recycling, travel and transportation, office equipment and computing, purchasing policies, building design, and product and service design. By analyzing utility bills and performing a walk-through of each facility, we compile a Sustainability Design that identifies changes that will mitigate a building's environmental impact, provide project management and oversight of subcontractors during the implementation process, and educate building-users on how to adopt eco-conscious practices that will achieve greater sustainability. Our objective is to convince every single business that it has both the unique opportunity to champion sustainability and the means to proposer as responsible global citizens.

Our goal for 2010 is to complete 15 Sustainability Design projects.
