Swan Center Outreach and Swan Center for Intuitive Living has provided me with the confidence and wisdom I needed to pursuit my goals in life as well as the inner peace and discipline to stay focused and committed. I am deeply and completely grateful and consider myself very lucky to know that such an inspiring place exists and that I have had the opportunity to be a part of it.

Swan Center Outreach is a safe haven for people and animals. It is a place to experience the joy of learning about yourself, your energy and how it affects others. It is a place for amazing animals and people to come together and love and support one another.

Swan Center Outreach has been loving and caring for animals since 1987. All decisions regarding our animals are made with their best interests at heart. We are going to great lengths to ensure the best quality transportation and care for our animals on the road. The life threatening health issue of one of our founders has caused us to relocate out of the high altitude of Colorado. We feel strongly that our animals (some who are older) will fair much better in the sunny state of California. We are interested in continuing the spiritual focus of our organization and as such felt that the move to California would be in the best interest of our animals as well as our organization. We have appreciated all of the volunteers in Colorado and hope that your lives were changed for the better as a result of supporting our organization! Thank you for all your efforts!

Thrilled for the horses that they will now experience warmer climate!! They have been teachers, healers and friends to the children, families and adults of Summit County! Bonding with humans on an emotional, mental and most of all, a spiritual level will now take place in California. I am so proud to have been affiliated with Swan Center Outreach for over 28 years, as I have witnessed many miracles on horseback. Thank you and much appreciation to all the supporters and volunteers of Summit County, Colorado.

It is sad to have some people think that all they did was not appreciated because it was deeply; every volunteer, for every single hour they spent, for every donation made, those not there in person, were grateful beyond words. The person who wrote the programs, who rescued the horses and who loves them deeply could not survive in the altitude any longer. The horses and the loving way they have been handled will continue teaching children and adults in a climate kinder to their advancing years. Things change, people change, but never the love and care the Swan Center has for their charges both two legged and four legged.

Wow! Hard to believe, twenty-five years ago I was mucking the stalls of rescued horses and volunteering my help with their life changing programs. Now I'm a Board Member of Swan Center Outreach and my love and admiration for this organization for all it accomplishes for individuals and the community it serves, continues to grow. One visit is all it takes for anyone to fall in love with this very special organization.

My daughter clung to me in fear, not for the first time, when trying something new...Riding Thunder was a very big, new thing, but Swan Center Outreach has a lot of love to offer a frightened child, and a lot of practice with kids, like mine, with autism and other life challenges. You can see her smile in the camp photo. There is so much value to gain with just one, positive, confidence building experience. It is priceless. . .
I am so grateful for the many volunteers in Summit County who made that experience possible. Now that the organization has moved to Sunny CA, and programs can happen year round; it is my fervent hope that many, many more children can be served with love, hope, and that one, indelible, positive life experience they can carry with them always.
From the bottom of our hearts...we are ever grateful..

I have loved and been uplifted by Swan Center Outreach and it's programs for many years. Seeing the transformations in the eyes of the children and adults who participate is so rewarding. None more so than the transformation in my own daughter after her first visit to the ranch.
Autism, as most of you know takes many forms, for my daughter, central audio processing disorder robs her of the confidence and self assuredness that most children enjoy. Overcoming her fears and countering them with positive experiences is a part of our daily lives. We are always looking for leverage to lift those walls of doubt and move forward. Enter...Thunder the Magnificent and Rose and John Longhill, co-founders of Swan Center Outreach.
Within moments of arriving, Callie Rose was no longer clinging to my arm and hiding behind me, she had shared apples with the minis and was talking to them as if they were old friends. Shortly thereafter, Thunder entered the arena, a rescued polo pony with a kind nature but an occasional stubborn streak. After careful and loving instruction, Callie Rose mounted and was holding the reins. In no time, she was riding, on her own, making turns and smiling. "Can we go faster Mom?" I can't begin to tell you the shift that made in our hearts.
After thanking Thunder for her ride, sharing an apple and leading him to the pasture Callie Rose walked across the paddock happy and self confident. It was a milestone and the leverage we have since used to encourage other great strides. If you can ride a horse, then there are other great things you can do as well, agreed?
I attribute these transformational experiences to the safe, loving environment at Swan Center Outreach and the masterful tutelage of the founders and others who understand the importance of uplifting a child. And, of course, to Thunder the Magnificent.

Witnessing the powerful, positive transformations so many children, young adults and adults have experienced over the years at the Swan Center Outreach ranch is much greater than words can describe. The smiles, laughter, happiness and joy so many gain from just one visit to the ranch is a sight to behold, and certainly touches my heart.

I would like to personally thank every volunteer for all their support!!

For over 20 years, there is nothing more rewarding than experiencing the children served at Swan Center Outreach (SCO) light up with courage, happiness and a new found confidence in their own abilities. The leadership classes taught at SCO are designed to bring out the most positive attributes in everyone served. They walk away with skills that naturally apply to everyday life, as well as solid evidence they can easily achieve whatever they desire in life, as long as they’re willing to do the necessary work. The adults who participate in these programs often say they wish they had know about these skills when they were young, and they’re going to apply them into their everyday life now. Everyone wins at SCO, and the smiles and joy are abundant.

What a privilege it is to be a part of Swan Center Outreach which affects so many in such a positive and healing way. When you read their Mission Statement and the programs offered you'll understand the depth of their commitment to excellence in working with people of all ages. I have seen the changes on the faces of the children as they reach potential they were not even aware they had. Joy is a beautiful thing to see on the faces of children and it is seen every day at Swan Center Outreach.
