Swan Center has made a huge difference in my life. The leadership makes every volunteer feel appreciated for every thing they do. I started volunteering with my 8 year old son to expose him to some of the work Swan Center does with kids and horses. I found we both got a lot more out of our experience than I ever expected. It has been a true blessing. The volunteer program training is amazing, teaching leadership and communication skills that we can use in our lives every day. This is an amazing place with still more potential.

Swan Center Outreach is the most amazing organization I have volunteered for. They teach leadership skills to adults and children through hands on work with rescued horses and small animals. I tell everyone I can to take time to be apart of this wonderful organization.

I have worked for nonprofits most of my career. I am now a volunteer at Swan Center and it is truly an outstanding organization. I am so impressed by the individual love and care each animal receives. Volunteers are taught to provide good care as well as how to respect and train the animals. It is an opportunity to learn about oneself as well as the animals. I love the way the animals are loved!

Swan Center outreach does such a great job for the community by working with rescue animals as well as people who need interaction with nature and animals. It's a beautiful setting, great folks, and they make volunteering fun.

I have been involved with the Swan Center Outreach for almost two years. The training for volunteers is excellent, the care of the animals is outstanding, and the programs offered to children and adults are invaluable. Volunteering at this ranch is an enriching experience, it provides confidence, leadership and communication skills.

The animals are awesome!! All instructors and lead feeders are skilled and patient, a wonderful place to be.

The Swan Center Outreach is an amazing organization. Not only does it shelter and care for 32 wonderful horses [and some other fun animals too} it extends it's programs to adults and children, including handicapped and disadvantage youth, and provides them with leadership skills and confidence.

I have never spent time on a ranch or with horses. From my very first training class to the guidance of the experienced horse handlers on my volunteer days, I experienced exceptional professionalism. Imagine a rookie like me, being considered a horse handler! I have learned a lot about horses, and a lot about myself. A volunteer day at this beautiful ranch is a great day.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

No changes, the leaders of this organization have done an excellent job.

My family and I volunteer at Swan Center on the weekends. It is another way that we can enjoy our beautiful state and be a part of an amazing setting and give back to the Center who gives back to animals and people alike.
The responsiblity and pride that our children have is not something that can be learned in the classroom. Giving of themselves has helped them learn that there are no greater rewards than being appreciated.
The mission of Swan Center embodies all of the qualities that we teach our children at home but drives home the need for compassion, kindness and generosity in life.

I just started volunteering with the Swan Center this summer. I decided to work with them as a result of a field trip I went on with a group of high behavioral needs middle schoolers. It was shocking, the transformation these students had after meeting and working with the animals. The Swan Center goes out of it's way to ensure that each child that visits is getting the full experience. I was so impressed, that I wanted to give back to the ranch.

Rescued animals are used to help all kinds of people, and in doing so, these people help the animals. Amazing concept and an amazing place.

It is nearly one year since I was most fortunate to become a Swan Center volunteer. It has been the most amazing experience-- hard work, wonderful friendships, both two legged and four legged kind. Tears, laughter, learning situations, and opportunities to gain more knowledge, and receiving far more than you give. It has been experiences that open you to the world around you and allow you to grow in more ways than you thought. Your contact with nature is inspiring and soothing. Swan Center Outreach is the entire package. Your chance to experience all things great and small.
