While most people were nice, I found Tammy to be distant and unfriendly. I felt that she thinks she's doing me a favor.
Personality aside, is the quality of pets being offered. THIS WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE!!!! The issue with the cleanliness of the cats and kittens. As a part of their role, all their cats must be without fleas and worm. This goes with EVERY cat adoption organization.
We are extremely clean people. We have one cat who has not had one flea in his life. We just adopted a cat for his companionship. Thinking that this organization would do what they are supposed to do, we adopted a cat. In 2 days we started noticing fleas on him!!!!! Not just a couple, but INFESTED with hundreds of them. Now my house and my other cat has fleas. EVEN I GOT IT!!! I just killed one on my scalp.

I hate people that start with good intentions, and then let go of their responsibilities. You want to do a good job (which of course you make money off of it), then DO IT RIGHT. You are NOT allowed to harm people this way. I will report this organization to every local and federal agency!!!!!!

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

SHUT IT DOWN!!

Everyone, from the general clerk to the veterinarians at hand, made my sister and I feel great relief and gratitude to choosing Stray Cat Alliance to assist in spaying our cats. They gave us several humane strategies in trapping them especially as one of them had severe cuts that Stray Cat Alliance looked at afterwards. All of this was free of charge, as well, which helped a great deal. The procedures were done in no time so I was able to pick up the cats the next day first thing in the morning. They all spoke with great knowledge and passion for these cats, and I have recommended them to others who need free spay/neuter for stray cats.

I heard kittens under the house and didn't know what to do. I contacted SCA and Carole walked me through trapping, spaying and returning them to my yard. We must have shared 20 emails by time I felt comforable enough to get the job done. They were so patient and supportive. I used one of their free spay clinics. It was great to come into contact with an organization that had my same goals. SCA is truly beneficial to the community.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

getting the ferals in my neighborhood spayed.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

everyone is working toward the same goal. Help the feral cat population, educate the public and adoptions.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Patient with the uninformed, full of first hand cat knowledge, helpful and cheerful.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

share the knowledge about TNR and offer free spay clinics.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every week

This is a group of very devoted, knowledgeable people.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

not only dedication, but efficiency.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

get more men involved. Sounds like a joke, but it's actually a valid point. It's not the fault of the organization, but animal welfare groups overall seem to attract mainly female volunteers, and this is hard work!

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

that they help tremendously, but also educate.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

courteous and dedicated.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

probably single-handedly reverse the ignorance about the feral cat situation, and it could find a loving home for every needy cat in the country.

Ways to make it better...

there were even more people in the organization.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

time and money. Plain and simple. Money, of course, would help most, since it could even allow for actual staff members instead of volunteers.

One thing I'd also say is that...

the need for this organization is greater than ever.

Stray Cat Alliance is the most important organization in the Los Angeles area sponsoring spay/neuter clinics, trap/neuter/return programs and the overall feeding and caretaking of colonies of neutered, semi-domesticated stray cats. The venue I work for, Hollywood Bowl, benefited greatly from the help given to the Bowl's small population of stray cats. I could not have helped the cats without the dedicated volunteerism of the wonderful staff of Stray Cat Alliance

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

News articles, monthly newsletters and personal experience.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

The dedication to helping our innocent stray cats that need our help.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

dedicated, intelligent, knowledgeable and caring.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

continue its wonderful work in helping our stray cat populations.
