Stray Cat Alliance provides information and help about trap/neuter/return of stray cats. This is a more effective and humane way to control the overpopulation of stray cats.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Stray Cat Alliance has provided me with help, support and information. Because of them I was able to learn about TNR (trap/neuter/return) and with their help I was able to sterilize a colony of cats in my neighborhood.

I've learned so much from these dedicated, hard working people. They will network with other groups as well so the resources, advice, chances of finding homes are multiplied.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Countless ways. They're always there for advice on all aspects of every issue relating to animal rescue. Including Loaning traps for TNR, food donations, transportation, low cost or free spay/neuter,shots, microchipping, meds., etc.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Get more volunteers so no cat will ever have to go hungry, or be un-altered and left to cause unwanted births.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

The great information and help they provide, and watching them be successful in helping so many cats live happy lives free from cruelty, hunger, and neglect. Seeing their dedication, and determination to work hard for the innocent, helpless lives.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Intelligent, helpful, caring, resourceful.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Stop the needless, cruel murdering of innocent cats & dogs in the pounds, in other countries as well. Helping to pass a law requiring spay/neuter of all cats. By providing even more free spay/neuter, and educating the masses.

Ways to make it better...

If we could stop the murdering of cats and dogs in the pounds.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

The people that resist a law requiring spay/neuter of your cats. And more funding is always needed.

One thing I'd also say is that...

Once cats are not breeding unabated, the far fewer number of dogs that are put to death in pounds will also stop. There are 5 times more cats put to death than dogs.

This is a group of very devoted, knowledgeable people.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

not only dedication, but efficiency.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

get more men involved. Sounds like a joke, but it's actually a valid point. It's not the fault of the organization, but animal welfare groups overall seem to attract mainly female volunteers, and this is hard work!

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

that they help tremendously, but also educate.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

courteous and dedicated.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

probably single-handedly reverse the ignorance about the feral cat situation, and it could find a loving home for every needy cat in the country.

Ways to make it better...

there were even more people in the organization.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

time and money. Plain and simple. Money, of course, would help most, since it could even allow for actual staff members instead of volunteers.

One thing I'd also say is that...

the need for this organization is greater than ever.

Stray Cat Alliance is the most important organization in the Los Angeles area sponsoring spay/neuter clinics, trap/neuter/return programs and the overall feeding and caretaking of colonies of neutered, semi-domesticated stray cats. The venue I work for, Hollywood Bowl, benefited greatly from the help given to the Bowl's small population of stray cats. I could not have helped the cats without the dedicated volunteerism of the wonderful staff of Stray Cat Alliance

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

News articles, monthly newsletters and personal experience.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

The dedication to helping our innocent stray cats that need our help.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

dedicated, intelligent, knowledgeable and caring.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

continue its wonderful work in helping our stray cat populations.

I've been using Stray Cat Alliance for over 3 years now. This has helped clean up my lower middle income neighborhood with it's over populated and abandoned cat population. The neighborhood has gone from hearing constant animal fights to one where howling is an unusual occurance.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

my neighborhood and within the fixed income families who live in the area.
