I was amazed at the committment Stella Nova has in terms of "going green" not only from their staff, but also from their young women who dance with the company. Eco-friendly practices are expected within the company, in addition to the fundraisers and the manners in how they function are purely and consciously green. I'm proud to be a member of a strong organization who has a desire to continue to make San Diego a healthier place emotionally, physically and environmentally for all people.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

green friendly newsletters and at several community events and/or health fairs.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

consider formally linking with another dance company in order to better position themselves in the market.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

it's committed people to the mission of the dance company and to nurturing the young girls it serves.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

friendly and have a deep passion for the art of dance.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

boost the esteem and provide endless physical and emotion opportunity of MANY MORE young women throughout the entire San Diego community.

Ways to make it better...

there were opportunities for young girls who can't afford the monthly tuition to be granted an opportunity to dance with the company.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

size and lack of funds.

One thing I'd also say is that...

Stella Nova is ready to make a big statement in the SD arts scene.

Stella Nova has been fabulous for our daughter. It has given her a focus, supported her development physically, as an artist, and as a young adult, and the whole group is so nice. The productions are amazing and give us real appreciation for dance, music, and the arts. Our involvement with Stella Nova draws us closer to the other families and makes all of us richer for the experience. Caron and Josh Feder

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

helping the dancers become more confident and competent as dancers and as young, self-aware citizens.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Grow it over time to help it become more financially self-sufficient, better knwn, and continue to extend its reach to youth across the county.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

The people!

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Helpful, committed, and hard working.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Bring dance, support the development, and raise social and environmental awareness to 100 million people (or more).

Ways to make it better...

We had more funds to do more programming and pay our volunteer executive and artistic directors.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Finding more good people to help it grow and creating programs that help it become more self-sufficient.

One thing I'd also say is that...

I was reluctant to 'get involved' in another volunteer activity, but as I do more and more I get more and more from the experience and it helps shape and inform my other work.
