St. Baldrick's Foundation

I have been involved with several nonprofits over the years, and I can easily say St. Baldrick's Foundation is the most important of my family's annual fundraising efforts. Before I dedicate any time/effort to a nonprofit, I read the annual report and try to gauge the overall impact the organization has on both my local and global community. I am annually impressed with the mission, drive and unwaivering support given by the St. Baldrick's staff and volunteers. While we are currently in an economic crunch here in the US, and our fundraising efforts were impacted greatly this year, my husband and I will continue to coordinate an annual St. Baldrick's Shave event to honor those currently in cancer treatment, those who have conquered cancer and those who have lost the battle. We owe it to our community and our own healthy children. By coordinating the event annual event, we have met fantastic people, shared stories of loss and triumph and taught our children that everyone can do their part to make the world a bit brighter. It's our mission as a family to give back, and St. Baldrick's Foundation is an easy way to do it! St. Baldrick's staff works tirelessly to make the event easy to coordinate, fun and always provides an answer to my zillion requests/questions. We look forward to the continued growth and feel honored to be a part of this organization

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
meeting amazing people with the common goal of helping children with cancer.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
(in short) incredible. I always had an answer to my question within 24 hours. I am utterly impressed.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
give more grants to find cures quicker.
Ways to make it better...
more people would get involved.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
the current economic climate.
One thing I'd also say is that...
KEEP DOING WHAT YOU ARE DOING!!!!! My life has been working with nonprofits and fundraising for organizations. Some come and go, but St. Baldrick's will forver be my family's favorite charity.
