I had the honor and privilege to serve as a guardian for Mr. Roy Herter on the May 12, 2012 Southeast Honor Flight. This is one of the most rewarding awe inspiring things I have ever done in my life. I learned more about World War II in that one say than any history class will ever teach you and had the time of my life with a man I had only met a week or two before. I keep in touch with him even today and see him when ever I an in the area where he lives. His whole family is wonderful and I would do it again in a hear beat. Do not miss out on this once in a lifetime opportunity.

I was a guardian on the May 2012 Honor Flight trip. It was one of the most rewarding days of my life. The whole day was organized to the very last detail, everything was timely. I cannot wait to volunteer again with Southeast Honor Flight.
