I first met Songs Of Love when I performed a fundraising concert with SOL's founder, John Beltzer. I was so moved by his desire to get a PERSONAL and ORIGINAL song in the hand of chronically and terminally ill children. If that was not enough, I listened to the promotional CD that was given to me prior to the concert. I was BLOWN AWAY! You know the kiosks in the mall that offer... "your child's name in music... for $30!!!!? Well...those CDs are nice... and, honestly, THAT'S what I expected from the Songs Of Love CD I stuck in my player... music started.... "wow, nice horn....WHAT!!! David Lee Roth SINGING???!!!!" Not only was a successful singer singing the song, the song was, well.... good.... REALLY GOOD! I love the heart of this organization! I love the gift SOL musically brings to (now over) 20,000 kids. Need I say more??
The Great!
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
Reading letters and emails from mothers and fathers, grandmas and grandpas who's child's live was moved and changed because of their VERY OWN Song Of Love!
Ways to make it better...
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Get them the money and resources they need to meet the demand.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
Their desire to keep each song: 1) original 2) REALLY good
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
Kind. Generous. Filled with their own Songs Of Love:-)
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
Reach about 30,000+ MORE children and move/change their lives!
Ways to make it better...
My experience could NOT HAVE BEEN BETTER!
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
Funding.
One thing I'd also say is that...
I have already said it... but I WILL say it again... What SOL does is REALLY GOOD! No cookie cutter songs where one child's name is replaced with the next. Each song is NEW and ORIGINAL and written specifically for each child!

Songs of Love is a wonderful organization! There are not enough words to express our gratitude for what you all do for our children. When our children receive their song they light up with excitement! I don’t know how you all do it but each song fits each child’s personality perfectly. These songs mean the world to our families and we appreciate all you all do! We just recently used a child’s song as the background music for a digital picture frame that we put together for them. The song was the “icing on the cake” for the slideshow! Thank you Thank you Thank you Angela Miller, CCLS II

I can not tell you what I have been through with my daughter's disabilities due to three strokes. I was having a bad day and forgot all about applying for this program for my daughter. I was having a bad day and went to the mailbox when I saw the package. I can not tell you how much it made me smile and how happy I was to hear my daughters personal song....I keep it in a safe place, but I play it through the computer for her to hear...Everytime she hears her name she smiles. It made my whole family so happy and so appreciative....Thank You Songs Of LOVE...

Songs of Love is an amazing organiazation, I have seen first hand how much the kids love their songs and how much it helps them out. Children who haven't smiled for weeks even months smile again upon hearing their song. Powerful stuff! Great work, Songs of Love!!!

Over a year ago, I was stuck in a dead-end corporate job and tired of not following my dream of being a full-time songwriter. I discovered Songs of Love online and promptly contacted them. My relationship with Songs of Love has become one of the highlights of my life. Hearing from parents of children who have been touched by my songwriting has convinced me that Songs of Love is helping me do good in this world. The staff is professional and friendly, and always available when I need them - and I get a sense that they are not in this for the money, rather for the chance to make kids smile on a daily basis; that's their true payment.

I am one of the writers for Songs of Love. It is no doubt one of my favorite organizations. The letters i have received from families have been wonderful. To know that i was able to bring joy to a child and or their families by composing a song specifically for them is a great joy. With Songs of Love, time is often of the essence. The sad part of being involved is that often the children do not survive... But i have received letters from families who have played the song at the child's memorial service. My own family and I wept a upon reading these letters but still were grateful that they thought enough of the song to have it featured in the service as a representation of the child's heart put to music. Thanks Songs of Love for what you do... if you haven't supported them in the past, please consider making a donation and partnering with us to bring joy into the lives of more children.

I write song lyrics for sick children and am truly blest to be a part of this wonderful foundation. I only pray that the sick children and their families will have some comfort from these songs. I hope this foundation will continue for many years to come.

My daughter was in the hospital waiting for a heart transplant when I cam across this foundation. They do not give away money or help with shelter, instead they offer something a bit more personal to each patient. I filled in the information about my daughter- her likes and dislikes and within a few weeks she received her very own song made just for her. It was soooo great to see her smile and laugh whenever she heard her name. I was so excited to hear the song to know someone produced this just for her. It's been over a year since she has received her song and we still sing it from time to time. These people are amazing, and to hear John Beltzers personal story as to why he does this, just hits home with any family that has a child with special needs.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
Receiving Kaelyn's song. I think I was just as excited as she was. Everyone sings and dances still to her personal song.
Ways to make it better...
I sometimes do wish I would of waited til Kaelyn was older to get her, her own song, so then when she is older she will still be able to enjoy that particular type of music.
