Our daughter was diagnosed with ALL (leukemia) when she was 2 1/2. It came as a great surprise and our lives were quickly filled with doctor appointments and hospital stays. Her Song of Love was so uplifting - she would just dance and wanted everyone to hear this song made especially for her. I did not expect it to be anywhere near the quality that it was. Our daughter is now 5, done with treatment and doing fantastic. Thank you Songs of Love!

My daughter was diagnosed with Wilms Tumor- a form of Childhood Cancer. She was 4 years old at the time. Our whole world changed. She no longer had a 'normal childhood'. She was now subected to surgeries, hospital stays, chemo, constant pokes, hair loss.... She recieved many cards and gifts to lift her spirits. One of the most special gifts she received was a Song of Love. Her song was custom made to include all of the things she always found precious in her life. Every time we listened to her song, she had a huge smile on her face. It truely brought her joy- and it brought me joy just to see her so happy in the midst of all of the sickness and chaos. Today, my daughter is 5 years old. She has successfully completed her treatments and is back to her 'normal' life. We still fondly listen to her song over and over. She still gets a huge smile when she sings along to her personalized song. I can never say 'thank you' enough to Songs of Love for the wonderful gift that they gave my daughter.

I have been writing songs for Songs of Love for about 4 years and I am so thrilled at this opportunity. Songs Of Love is an incredible organization and I have built some precious relationships with families as a result of writing for their children.

touch thousands of families around the world by giving them a personalized song meant just for them. It would enable families with very ill children/youth to have something encouraging to listen to during hard times.

I have been writing personal songs for children with the Songs of Love Foundation since 1998. So far I am up to 68 songs and counting. I can tell you that it would be far more if I did it full time. If ever there was an organization that truly thought of the children it represented with good will and intentions it's this non profit organization. Everyone I've known who worked with Songs of Love has always put in an ernest efffort to make sure that the emotional & theraputic needs of children and their families were met. My daughter received a liver trasplant in January of 2008 when she was 4 1/2 years old. It was a really tough time in the hospital as there were several set backs, but the personal song that this foundation provided her always made her smile. We sent it on to family back home and it was a big pick-me-up for everyone, including our two boys at home (ages 2 and 7). This foundation has come up with a unique way to lift the spirits of every child it has the opportunity to serve. My wish would be for every child to be able to receive their own song when they are in a similiar situation as my daughter.

the smile on my daughter's face. There are very few things that can make a child smile when they are hooked up to machines, but someone singing a song with their name in it and some of their favorite things mentioned does it every time!

My daughter, Haley was 3 years old when she was diagnosed with a Wilm's tumor. As you can imagine, we were devistated that this vibrant, beautiful, "perfect" child had cancer! While we were in the hospital absorbing all of the traumatizing details of what my daughter would be facing over the next several months, a social worker approached us about a foundation that writes individual songs about individual children battling medical conditions. We jumped on that opportunity - it gave us something to look forward to and allowed us to reflect on what was important in Haley's life! We played that CD over and over again for Haley and for anyone that would listen! It brought great joy for the entire family and is something that Haley can treasure for the rest of her life!

My daughter was diagnosed with neuroblastoma in 2005. Songs of Love provided a lovely song about her and her our family. It arrived in the mail the morning that we departed for New York for a very scary surgery. I listened to it the first time while in the waiting room and it was very touching and theraputic. She feels so special when she listens to it and it is still played very frequently now, over 3 years later by a very healthy little girl!

My daughter, Lauren, was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma on January 23, 2009. She was a senior in high school and then the world seemed to come to a complete halt. She was in and out of the hospital every 23 days for chemotherapy and scans for 6 months and then had 6 weeks of radiation therapy. She had some pretty low moments and there was a while that she could not make her self smile because of the unknown. Then she received her song from songs of love, it made her smile and dance and sing for the first time in a long time. What they do is amazing and is so very important, the children who are facing the fight of their lives need something to brighten their otherwise gloomy days and that is what songs of love does. It takes a child who is scared, sick, tired, and unsure about their future and gives them a reason to smile, which is so important. Thank you songs of love, you will always be in our family's thoughts.

We adopted a multi-special needs child 8 years agao. We heard about the songs of love foundation from a friend at our church. We were and still are going thru some rough medical issues. She is under the palliative care unit at Childrens. She loves books and music. As soon as she heard her name she started to smile. She does not walk or talk. We do everything for her. This song had her smiling the entire time. Her three brothers that are my bioligical children were dancing around and singing the songs with her. They were telling everyone about this song. This brought joy to our house. We still play it several times a day. I want to say a very big thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!
