I worked for this organization for 4 years as the Donations Coordinator. As an employee I have witnessed the full transformation of the truly destitute. People whose souls were emptied by poverty, homelessness and drugs are now filled with love and hope. The success stories are real, the photos are real and this organization is real!

SOME provides extremely high-quality services to many of the District's most underserved residents - including those who often have no where else to turn for comprehensive primary medical and dental care. Their staff is extremely dedicated and overwhelmingly committed to their mission.

I've been a volunteer at several SOME fundraisers and have worked with the advocacy department on several city political issues. It's always been a good experience. I particularly like working with an organization that serves so many parts of the community in so many ways. SOME provides great direct service while working to address the underlying problems that lead to the need for those services.

SOME is an organization that works hard to address the needs of our city's poor. Their outreach touches and betters many people's lives and offers hope to those who otherwise might not have any.

Great organization focusing on local needs - offering many creative ways to get involved, through Soup Bowl sales, Trot for Hunger, and serving at soup kitchens. SOME is always getting words out to ask people to look out for those in need of shelters and how to contact help. A great, great organization for the city!
