Joining Soldier's Angels has been one of the most rewarding thing I have done. My son as a formerly deployed soldier recommended Soldiers Angels to me when I wanted to do something for the troops. He said when deployed he was impressed by the care shown by Soldier's Angels. Good all around.
I just joined and so far I love it. I love the fact that I might be able to brighten a soldier's day with my silly antics and crazy life. This is a great organization doing great things for soldiers who may not have a family to send them things. We owe so much to them, and I am happy to participate and contribute in any way possible!
I just joined SA this year in March! I have always wanted to be part of a organization like this one. The LWT is a great team and everyone in this community is such wonderful people. You are not only meeting new people who are deployed but you are also meeting new people whom have the same interest as you! I enjoy writing letters to those who are deployed. Whenever I needed help or have questions to ask SA would always respond back few hours later. I am posting a picture of my first letter I wrote in the LWT! I am so happy I joined this organization!
I've been part of Soldier's Angels for about five years now. What a great organization that reaches out to help our Soldiers overseas, their families here in the states, and our Vets who still need that support! They have a support group through e-mail and facebook which gives you so many ideas what to include in our boxes which go overseas to soldiers. It's a great feeling to "adopt" a soldier overseas, and send them letters and boxes of goodies for them to share with other soldiers. It lets them know that we care, and they're not forgotten! Love this organization!!
I just joined in March of this yr The Soldiers Angels Letter Writing Team and also do Birthday Cards and letters to the family at times I love it i use to do letters in the past and i find it so rewarding to be able to get to say Thanks to all Our Brave Men and Woman In the Service Im so glad that this site is up and i have the chance to show my thanks.God Bless Much Love Amy From Michigan
I was a member of this fantastic organization years ago and loved it. Then my job was outsourced and I had to quit. I am now back again. There are many organizations out there but I would not have returned to this one had it not made a difference. Sending these packages out to our troops does your heart good. You are never alone there is a great support group to help whenever needed.
Been a volunteer for almost a year now. There's many areas to volunteer in, so many different options. Baking, letter writing, Chaplain support, adopt a soldier or a soldiers family, the list goes on. Great, great organization to be a part of, they love their volunteers!
I'm a longtime member (Since 2006) Of Soldier's Angels and appreciate the way they communicate weekly with all of us "Angels". I serve on both the Deployed and Letter Writing Team and each team has a leader that sends weekly emails with updates and opportunities to connect with others for ideas or questions.
Soldier's Angels is the BEST organization around helping our deployed soldiers, making sure not one soldier is forgotten. I am a Proud member!
I had been thinking about joining Soldiers' Angels for over a year. I saved the link in my email and went back to it from time to time. What made me finally do it was my college friend that was in the army, deployed a few times, and he was an instrumental part in the two organizations Carry the Fallen and Active Heroes. He and many others are working on reducing veteran suicides from 22 per day to ZERO. This has become a passion of mine and while my friend is no longer with us, he passed away from cancer last Fall, I told him that I would help carry on his mission. What a great way to help reduce veteran suicides by supporting soldiers while they are deployed. The experiences and living conditions are likely far from their normal life while stateside. Maybe, just maybe, reaching out to soldiers while they are deployed helps them transition once they return. I have made several friends from this organization and look forward to each and every letter/interaction I have with them. I encourage others to look into Soldiers' Angels, as there are so many ways you can get involved and, from experience, they truly make a difference in a soldier's life.
