Mission: Soldiers' Angels is a volunteer-led 501(c)(3) non-profit organization providing aid and comfort to the men and women of the United States Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, and their families. Founded by the mother of two American soldiers, we have hundreds of thousands of volunteers assisting veterans, wounded and deployed personnel and their families in a variety of unique and effective ways. Soldiers’ Angels responds quickly to requests for support and provides individualized, immediate assistance.  It is a “one-on-one, get it done quickly” organization.  Our volunteer Angels at home adopt individual deployed troops and stay in touch throughout their deployment. Wounded soldiers and their families are asked what they need, and Soldiers’ Angels responds in a hundred different ways:  voice-activated computers; financial assistance for loved ones to stay with their wounded family member; phone cards to call relatives who can’t visit as often as they wish, etc.  Both the organization and the program have grown, but, unfortunately, the needs of our deployed soldiers and their families are growing even faster. This is especially true for our young men and women who are wounded. The government is providing first-class medical care for our wounded soldiers, but it will never be able to provide all of what they deserve and so many services desperately needed by their families.  Soldiers’ Angels works closely with the Department of Defense, the nation’s major veterans groups and a variety of other military support organizations to make sure these brave young men and women who are being helped.

I absolutely LOVE this organization!! I love being able to help our troops in any way possible and also sign some of the military people I know up to receive postcard books and such. This is the most loving organization I have ever been a part of! I am proud to be a Soldiers Angel!!

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Only change I can think of is to include a smart phone app.

I have been a member of SA for several years. What I like best about this organization is that you have so many different types of teams you can join. No matter what your budget is there's something for you here!

I am a volunteer with Soldiers Angels and can't express how amazing this group of people are! Not only are we able to help deployed soldiers but we are able to help their families as well, we also get to welcome new additions to their families. :) Not to mention veterans who have sacrificed so much for our country. We even have programs to help men and women effected by the events on 9/11. Joining the folks in this organization has made a huge difference in my life and was one of the best decisions I have ever made.

I am a volunteer and Team Leader through Soldiers Angels! It truly is a wonderful organization and does so much for your Deployed Troops, Military Families, Families of our Fallen Heroes and Veterans. I can not think of a better group of people to be a part of. Being part of this organization has blessed my life beyond measure and I would recommend anyone who wants to be part of supporting our amazing Troops to join this organization and become part of this family!!!

I am a volunteer for Soldier's Angels. I thoroughly enjoy serving the deployed soldiers as well as bringing joy to their family members in times of joy and sorrow. SA covers the full spectrum of soldiers at all stages of their service.

I was wondering if anyone could help me with this question. I live in Edmond, OK, and I have a sister who said she was deployed from this summer from San Antonio. It came as a shock to the family. We do not even know what branch of the military she is in!!! And she told us that soliders were not allowed to tell family where they were being deployed. We are very worried, and don't believe this story matches the facts. Are soliders allowed to tell family members where they are being deployed--at least the county, if not the specific place? Thank you for your help. Also were troops deployed from San Antonio this summer (2015).

I have been a volunteer with Soldiers' Angels since 2006. They offer a variety of ways to provide support for the soldiers both deployed and stateside. Awesome organization to be part of.

I have been an Angel on the letter writing team for 3 months. I have written several letters to our troops and even though I haven't received a response yet, it makes me feel good knowing that I may have brightened someone's day. I'm happy I found this organization.

My granddaughter and I bake each month for the Soldiers angels baking team. We love having fun baking, before we do that we gather up our recipes and decide what we want to do, its always exciting to pick and choose.. next we shop and find something xtra special to add to our boxes for our soldiers its always a fun time too. When we are finished we are proud to be shipping out to other men and women who are putting their lives on the line for us, its the little things we do that add up to something big.. Soldiers angels help us by putting us in touch with those who need us and want to receive something sweet from home. Thanks Soldiers Angels we are proud to be one of you!
