Soldiers' Angels is such a great organization. I am able to support my country and our great soldiers while at the same time work with great people, be creative, and practice writing and communication skills. The organization supports our troops and we all support each other. You can just step right in and get going making a difference right away like I did.
I am so glad to be a part of this organization! I love writing and feel I can truly make a difference with my letters. It's so beneficial knowing that I'm bringing a smile to those who are fighting for our country!
I joined the Letter writing team through Soldiers' Angels back in April and fell in love with the whole idea of writing. Being an English major, I've always had a passion for writing but I've become more accustomed to writing to strangers. Every time I receive mail, I have a smile on my face, especially when soldiers tell me how much they laughed at my letter writing.
I now am a Group Leader of the Letter Writing Team and couldn't be more proud! I hope to encourage new people to write and to make letter writing a hobby again :)
I volunteer with this organization, and it is wonderful! I am so glad I found them. They do tremendous work for veterans I am always amazed. Please consider joining them.
I am a volunteer with Soldiers Angels and am on multiple teams. I retired from a career after 29 years and was looking for a way to work with veterans. I am so lucky to be able to volunteer at the VA hospital here in Denver Colorado. I am so lucky to have contact with veterans and it is so rewarding. I look forward to each time I am at the hospital or at an event.
My story is a little bit different, in that I have been a volunteer for Soldiers' Angels since 2006. We have shipped over 60,000 Christmas stockings to Iraq and Afghanistan. Now we are supporting the VA's in Georgia as well as working with Google to provide laptops to our brave soldiers that have been wounded. This picture was taken May 22 at Trinka Davis Veterans Village in Carrollton, GA. The award is a proclamation from our governor. I have been with Soldier's Angels since 2006 and my favorite part about this organization is the direct contact we get with each service person we support. I have served on the "Deployed" Team since 2006 and earlier this year joined the "Letter Writing Team" in an effort to extend my gratitude to more Soldier's.
It's a great group and I am Thankful!
I've been adopting soldiers since 2011, and I enjoy it very much. SA's does so much for our service members and vets which makes me proud to be a part of this great organization.
I'm a volunteer at Soldiers' Angels and I love it, I love working with the men and women who protect our Country! It's a amazing organization to volunteer for, with all they do for the soldiers and their families, like letter writing, blanket making, packages, baby showers , and much more. A true organization that helps our heroes!
I saw information about Soldiers' Angels on Facebook and looked them up thinking, it was something I could do. And now I'm doing more than just writing letters, I 've adopted soldiers and feel like they have helped me more than I have them. It's a great opportunity to help service men and women and a wonderful organization to do it though. I have been very happy working with Soldiers Angels.
Joining Soldier's Angels has been one of the most rewarding thing I have done. My son as a formerly deployed soldier recommended Soldiers Angels to me when I wanted to do something for the troops. He said when deployed he was impressed by the care shown by Soldier's Angels. Good all around.
I just joined and so far I love it. I love the fact that I might be able to brighten a soldier's day with my silly antics and crazy life. This is a great organization doing great things for soldiers who may not have a family to send them things. We owe so much to them, and I am happy to participate and contribute in any way possible!
