When my son wanted to go live with his dad in another state. I was devastated, and I also wanted to serve my country as well. Due to age and current tenure in my present job, I decided to pay it forward in another way. I have volunteered for other non profit groups that also support our military, butSoldiers Angels is by far the best. There is a commradre that follows with each of us. It is the most self rewarding thing any one person can do and that is to make certain that our men & women of our military are taken care of. And to provide support to those left behind. I have had adopted soldier that when he returned home 2 yrs ago the first thing he did was IM me on line to thank me. He has a wife and 3 kids and the first thing he thought of was Soldiers Angels. I have adopted units, women and men and mail to them is like water to a dessert. They love it and they wait anxiously for that net piece of home. And its a great feeling to know that you can bring that much happiness to a soldier.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

donating and adopting soldiers and having the honor to thank soldiers in person for their service. Promoting Soldiers Angels.

As a team leader I make sure to send at least one letter to every Lady assigned to my team. I make sure to ask about special needs, allergies, or anything they want to share. It's amazing the amount of responses you can get. We are able to make a person's deployment just a little bit easier and make them feel more at home when they're so far away. I have a fabulous team that pulls together to help each and every one of the Ladies assigned to our team. I get such a rewarding experience from being a part of this wonderful organization.

amazing! Each person is helpful and willing to guide you.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

help SO MANY soliders out there. They could send supplies, letters, and so many other things to help our soldiers during their deployment.

As a spouse of someone who has been deployed, my husband and I know first-hand, how important mail from home is to soldiers overseas. Since his return in 2008, I saw how many letters he had gotten from other volunteer groups while he was over there and I wanted to do something for other soldiers who may or may not have the support of family and friends back home. I just love to write, and the thought of making someone else's day with just a simple note of thanks and encouragement is what made me seek out Soldiers Angels. I have been writing for them for over a year now and dont see myself stopping anytime soon! If anyone out there is looking to give back to their community, I definitely recommend this group!!!

Soldiers' Angels is a wonderful organization that has many opportunities to support deployed troops, their families, and veterans. One of the many teams under Soldiers' Angels is the Ladies of Liberty Team, which specifically supports deployed FEMALE soldiers. Each month, as a Team Leader I receive a support list of deployed ladies (our female troops) and I coordinate the efforts of about 70 Angels to support those female troops. We write letters, emails and send care packages. The response of my team of Angels and our Angel leadership is PHENOMENAL. An Angel has a question or concern? Usually answered within the hour! A particular soldier needs something special to cheer her troops or help someone in need (from local schoolchildren in Afghanistan to wounded troops in hospital), and we are ON IT, with whatever is needed. This organization is respected by our troops (a number of our female soldiers have returned home and joined our support team!), and it's an HONOR to be one small part of ALL that is done by Soldiers' Angels.

Soldiers' Angels is not just any non profit: Each Angel has a true compassion to make sure that every Soldier in the United States have someone who cares for them. We not only adopt individual Soldiers but we also conduct larger events for them as well. Currently will be at LZ Lambeau Field welcoming all Vietnam Veterans Home in Wisconsin. Would write more about this fantastic secure organization but need to arrange more boxes and a few letters must go out for mail call so No Soldier Ever Feels Unloved! Thanks to Director Patti who is non stop making sure with all of our Teams and Events and Boxes keep us going and inspire to get up early & stay up late manning our Angel Posts. We understand how hard our Soldiers in all branches work hard to keep US safe and the little extra we do means so much. As a woman love the fact they address the needs of Women Soldiers and hats off to the Ladys' of Liberty Team.. I know the work you do is incredible. Wing-tip-to-wingtip One of Many Beloved Angels to our Soldiers. Angel in WI

I am on the verge of retiring after working 40yrs in the railroad industry. And was wondering how I will settle into retirement. Being a part of this organization and knowing that I can help lift spirits gives my life new purpose. I am grateful for the opportunity to do my small part to help out. Women CAN be helpful in times such as these.

Coming from a Military family, this Organization is very important to me.Soldiers' Angels is a lifeline for soldiers. We provide support through letters, cards and care packages to soldiers that would never receive support from home unless we send them something. The feeling of being able to send a care package or card is very rewarding,to know you're making a difference in someone Else's life..Even if you never get to meet your adopted soldiers.

Soldiers' Angels is a lifeline for our soldiers. We provide support through letters, cards and care packages to soldiers that would never receive support from home. I have been an Angel since 2005 and can honestly say that this is the one thing I have done in my life that I am most proud of. To know that you are supporting those that protect us when they might not get support from anywhere else is amazing.

Soldier's Angels is one of the best nonprofits out there. They focus on support and caring for all deployed military and their families. I am on a special team with Soldier's Angels called Ladies of Liberty. As a woman this is very empowering to me to be able to lift up these women who are braving conditions and activities that some men wouldn't be able to handle. This nonprofit is very important for all of the female soldiers out there in making sure they are taken care of and supported.

I became involved with Soldiers Angels in 2006/2007 because my husband had been deployed to Iraq and was adopted by a Soldiers Angel. He told me how amazing his angel was at sending him carepackages and letters which he shared with his soldiers. He told me that it made a world of difference in the morale of his soldiers to know that a stranger cared enough to recognize their sacrifices. I have since adopted about 6-8 soldiers myself to help carry on that tradition as a way of saying "Thank You" to Soldiers Angels for the care they bestowed upon my husband and to all our men and women in uniform as well as their families. It's such an amazing program that I am honored to be a part of!

The fact that my husband was adopted during his tour in Iraq as well as several of my friends who have since served either in Iraq or Afghanistan.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Being a part of an organization that is based on the principles that "No Soldier Goes Unloved" and that the military families also need support during a deployment to help them get through all the difficult times.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Amazing. They genuinely care for our troops and famiies and go out of their way daily to ensure none are forgotten.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

expand the amount of help it could provide to our wounded, our deployed, the families of deployed and to the families of the deceased...
