Because of the constant contact of a member of this group a former Marines life was saved, he had lost both legs and was addicted to his medication for pain. He could not get the care that he needed and he got very frustrated to the point that he was thinking of taking his life. Dave Rosenberg contacted me because he didn't know what else to do but knew something had to be done or this former Marine will not live much longer. We were able to get him out of a hotel and drive him to a hospital where he started getting the care that he needed. There are a lot of organizations out there but few that are face to face with whom they are their to support.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Making veterans with disabilities feel alive again, enjoying themselves and not caring that people are looking at them like they have a disease.

This was one of the greatest experiences I have ever been a part of. I got to do things and meet famous people that most people will never get a chance to meet. It is something I will never forget. The people involved in this program obviously care about what they are doing and David Rosenberg has an amazing heart. This program is one of the greatest things that I have ever participated in.

Getting to participate in this once in a lifetime program.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

find more funding for this amazing program.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

meeting and spending time with great people like David Rosenberg.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

some of the greatest and kindest people I imagine I will ever meet.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

do everything it needed and be able to let a lot more people participate in the program then it can now.

Ways to make it better...

I could stay longer.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

they are running out of funding and need help keeping this program running.

One thing I'd also say is that...

David Rosenberg is doing a great job and I know he will be successful in all his endeavors.

My husband was wounded in Iraq in August 2007 and the SoldierCare Project has been so wonderful to us. David Rosenburg kept contact with us for over a year before he met us and still checks up on us to make sure we're doing okay and to see if there's anything we need. They paid for us to go to California (a first for both of us) and it was amazing. I was also pregnant at the time, and they gave us a beautiful baby shower. Overall, it was one of the best experiences we've ever had and we will never forget their caring and hospitality. I am not sure what to put on when our last "experience" with this group was because the trip was last year, but as previously stated, we still keep in contact with them.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

help SO many wounded warriors, soldiers, and veterans have a wonderful new experience that is well deserved for their efforts for our country.

The depth of commitment from the volunteers of this organization is staggering. But all of that pales in contrast to the very real benefit brought to the men and women this group serves. I have heard first hand from these soldiers and their families, stories that illustrate a revival of hope because of the work this group does, a restoration of trust in the country that has let them down in their care, and an ability to look to a future with far more hope than would be possible without the work of this group.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Seeing the lives of soldiers - not just touched - but actually changed in ways that restore hope.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Seeing volunteers coming together from secular and religious groups who cross all sorts of ethnic and socio-economic boundaries to work together for a common good.

Ways to make it better...

There were broader bases of funding for this group
