I have been to SWO the past 3 summers. I personally love the discipleship, break out sessions, and worship at camp. As a chaperone and parent I am absolutely impressed by the amount of time the counselors spend with our campers in small groups and one on one.
This is not just one week at camp.
Over the past three years I have watched our youth, including my own daughter, mature in their relationship with Christ and each other. My son will go for the first time this year and I can't wait every year to go back.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Our students personal walk with Christ is continually evident through what they learn and experience at SWO. The counselors, Brodie and Big Kahuna are real and their love for students shows.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I only wish we could stay longer. Leaving always seems to come so soon.

My children have been involved with Snowbird for going on 10 yrs. They attend the summer camp every year. They love the camp, it instills God and religion into them. We also attend House Church on Monday nights at Snowbird. I love this church, everyone is so warm n welcoming to anyone. My two oldest children were baptised at Snowbird during their summer camp. I reccomend this place to anyone that has kids. My children have become closer to GOD and have become better children from the support of Snowbird.

It's hard to put into words the heart of the staff at Snowbird but here are a few...dedicated, sincere, hard working, fun, talented, educated, energetic, positive, giving. I have been a chaperone for my youth group at Snowbird for two years and will be returning again this summer with our youth group. This camp is special. The kids absolutely love this place and beg to return year after year. The staff and workers put their heart and soul into everything they do and it shows. I was so impressed with the way the camp counselors have been trained by the staff and are held to a very high level of expectations. Everything they do is for the kids and the ministry they are trying to accomplish. They are very wise in the way that they spend their finances and you can see that they care more about investing in Snowbird then they do about investing in themselves. I was so humbled the first year I attended to see that the counselors where staying in accomodations far less appealing then the cabins the campers were in. They definitely put the campers first. It is truly a blessing to me to take our kids and watch the impact that this place has on their spiritual lives. I LOVE SNOWBIRD!!!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in both my life as an adult youth leader and in the lives of the kids who have been there. The kids come back from camp energized and on fire for the Lord. They see that being a Christian can be fun while doing the Lords work. It has opened my eyes to how to interact with these kids and to relate to them on their level. Snowbird is not just a place to go and have fun but it provides hours of bible study and opportunities to grow spiritually.

If I could I would give them all the money they needed to keep it up and running.

Snowbird has it all! The Big Kahuna, Brodie and the rest. Absolutely the BEST student camp in America. The commitment of the staff is incredible. Lives are changed every day. It's the only camp I've seen where youth don't want to leave and are planning the dates to return the next year. Don't change a thing!

I had an amazing time at Snowbird! I have never gotten to know staff better. Every other camp I've been to you just stick with your one counselor and then just lead you through your day, but at Snowbird it's completely different. They genuinely care about every single person that goes through their program. It doesn't stop at the fellowship, what you learn on those trips is life changing. The amount you discover about God is awesome! I can't get over how amazing this place is. My only complaint is that it's in North Carolina, I wish it was closer so I could keep going or volunteer.

Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters is an amazing christian camp! It had such a huge impact on my life. The way the camp is set up makes it easy to be comfortable, make new friends, have a lot of fun, and grow closer to God all at the same time. The worship ceremonies and personal talks with the staff are very enriching and challenging. They tell the truth and really make you think about your life. All the fun stuff is representative of God as well. The hikes, the climbing, the rafting: they all show the beauty and awesomeness of God's Earth. The area that the camp is set in is the most beautiful wilderness I've ever seen. It's easy to get lost in the scenery and just stare around for hours. During the fun stuff, the staff also gives us things to think about and ponder over about our walks with Christ. The staff is extremely personable and easy to approach and become life-long friends with. The camp is remarkably clean and well set-up for week-long stays. The food is DELICIOUS! Snowbird is the best camp I've ever been to and I wish I could go every single year, because I know I would experience something different every time.

my whole life. I left this camp changed. From then on, I tried to look at everything through God's eyes and to live my life according to Him. I've never forgotten the amazing beauty that God showed to me at that camp. I have a much better respect for the world around us.

I went to Snowbird in the summer with my church group. It was the most wonderful christian based camp I have ever attended. Their devotion and spirit were just beyond belief. I will and plan to attend again this year.

My family has been assiciated with Snowbird for many years. My son was a staff counselor for 4 years while attending college and we were donors during that time. We attended services and skits, prayed diligently for the students that attended, fed the staff, and came to know most of the staff very well. It is a very worthwhile organization, which has proven itself many times over with experiences that students go away with. My son learned many valuable tools to use in life while training for the physical and mental aspects of being a counselor. He also made lasting friendships not only with staff, but with students and adult leaders. It made a huge difference in his life!

I can not think of any organization, school, church or intuition that has influenced me as much as Snowbird has. I first came to Snowbird when I was 12 years old, I had just moved over 2,000 miles following my father a Captain in the Air Force. To say I felt like an outsider suffering from massive culture shock would be an understatement. However at Snowbird I fell instantly in love with the staff, the community and of course all the outdoor recreation offered. They were (and are) some of the ‘coolest’ people I have ever meet, they had a genuine desire to get to know the students and leaders and to form real relationships with them. That was almost ten years ago, since then I have come back every summer as well as winter and fall. I have brought many students there with me, all of them equally as impacted as I was.
Snowbird has over 25 different outdoor recreations offered and a staff to student ratio of one staff to every three or four students. In my experience this unique just to Snowbird, the other camps or youth centers that I have been to have a staff ratio more to the tune of one staff to every 20 (or more) students. This causes the students to have awesome experiences yes, but to form lasting relationships with people only a generation or two ahead of you who’s only wish is to encourage the younger generations to pursue Christ and help them grow and conform to His image. This is amazing to me and I highly encourage you to help them in their mission.

working with my own students Snowbird has helped strenghten our relationship by not only teaching them solid Biblical truth but allowing us to spent time enjoying the outdoors together and for my students being able to throw me into the river while white water rafting.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

change nothing.

What an amazing place. Our teenagers loved it, the adults loved it, anyone who has the snowbird experience will not be the same. The staff is amazing-we left feeling like we gained a new family. Their commitment to Christ and to the campers is without compare. The recreation was over and beyond any camp I have ever been to. The worship services took us deeper into the heart of God. I would recommend SWO to anyone, hands down. There Is NOT another camp anywhere like it!

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

THeir ability to engage and reach youth using various methods and means...drama, recreation, music, activities, one on one time. OUr youth were completely overwhelmed with love and attention. Many lives transformed.

I honestly cannot think of any improvements...it is a blessing...
