Address:

380 Yosemite Rd Oconomowoc WI 53066 USA

Mission:

Our pursuit is to continuously support and encourage those living with the daily challenge of parenting a child with special needs so that the genuine love and hope of Jesus will be experienced and shared in their everyday lives.

Results:

Begun in 2002, this organization began with 6 couples and a box of tissues. Today, we serve well over 3,500 families both locally and nationwide. Here's what we accomplished in 2015: • Throughout 2015 we continued to partner with Community Bible Church, San Antonio, TX, and each Sunday evening offer accessible worship for all via their internet platform http://onlinechurch.com. Through this opportunity, parents and families worldwide were able to attend church from the convenience of their home or even at the hospital. • We saw an average increase of 50% in attendance at our Quarterly Fun Family Events in January, April, August, and September. • We mentored approximately 160 parents through 12 Side-By-Side Parent Mentor Small Groups throughout the year at different locations and using a variety of platforms including Facebook, Zoom video conferencing, and in person attendance. • May 15, 2015 – We held our 2nd Annual Mother’s Day Retreat at the Cedar Valley Center in West Bend, WI, offering our first overnight for guests. A group of 33 mothers enjoyed guest speaker, Gillian Marchenko, the entertainment of Comedy Sportz, dinner, breakfast, and lunch, massages, manicures, crafts, a marriage workshop with Ann Gapinski, and time to enjoy the beautiful grounds all helped to refill the tanks of mothers raising kids with special needs. • September 30, 2015 – Our Foundress, Barbara Dittrich, was named as one of three finalists as an Innovator for the Right Wisconsin Right Women Awards. • November 21, 2015 – Our 3rd Annual Christmas Mini-Mall benefit moved to Crosspoint Community Church, Oconomowoc, WI, this year. In spite of the weather, the ministry made a net profit of over $2,700, up 158% over our previous year’s event.

Snappin Ministry has touched me and my family so many ways this past year.
Ministered by giving the family some gift cards when our son was hospitalized.
I just attended a women's retreat that refreshed me spiritually and emotionally!
Thanks so much!!!

Thank you for the wonderful encouragement! I am a parent of 3 children with special needs and participated in a small-group book study. It was such a positive and helpful experience, not like many of the other groups I have tried where I left feeling worse than when I arrived. I really appreciate how the study helped me gain some perspective on my family's situation and caused me to reevaluate some of my reactions and biases. I have felt so understood and supported by the group!

Snappin' Ministries gave us a care basket and I STILL use stuff that we got in it a year later. Their ministry is phenomenal and true evidence that God does NOT leave us alone while we are here on earth...he surrounds us with love and support.

I attended the mom's conference, while I was asked to come as the speaker, after I addressed the mom's, I enjoyed an amazing afternoon being pampered, enjoying good food, and having great conversations. I walked away feeling refreshed and thankful to have attended the reatreat, and especially thankful for the leader, Barb Dittrich, who is passionate about helping parents know they are not alone, and they are loved.

We LOVE SNAPPIN Ministries!! I learned about their organization about 4 years ago and they have become an invaluable resource for me and my family. I only wish I had learned about them a few years sooner when I actually lived in WI. But thankfully, they are there to help families nationwide. I have received some great resource books from them on special needs and special needs ministry that have been amazing!

My first encounter with Snappin' Ministries was when I signed up to be a vendor for one of their fundraisers. By the time event actually happened, I found out that our own little baby-to-be would be one of the special ones. Fast forward to a couple of weeks after Tobias' birth and we were already stationed at Children's Hospital so that he could be treated for a respiratory illness. Snappin' Ministries sent a care package to our home that provided not only gift cards to various businesses, but also some toiletries and other items. Tangible and practical love was given through that package, and with no family living near us, we truly felt like the care package was a hug from above!
