A family member of mine who had no place else to go is currently being served by Shalom House, and it is making a remarkable difference in her life. The staff at Shalom House is helping her to be able to do what family members haven't been able to do in 25 years. Because of Shalom House's care and concern, this family member will, hopefully, be able to live her senior years in comfort and safety.

Shalom House offers a safe, secure, warm and caring place for women or women with kids who are in need of emergency shelter. Shalom offers a unique and homelike environment which is one of a kind in Dauphin County. At Shalom house trained case managers provide individual counseling and assistance to each women to help her get her life and family back on track. More recently Shalom has been offering new services for the increasing numbers of homeless women veterans in the Central Pennsylvania area.
