I have served on the Board of SPIN for more than 3 years. As a Board we work with staff and donors to return more than 90% of our funds into our programs. This takes tremendous fiscal restraint and yet the staff are 100%5 supportative. Each staff person is a key element in the organizations success. This year all of us are shouldering more of the administrative burdens to ensure that the working poor in Orange county have every opportunity to thrive.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Endow our programs permanently. We could purchase our own housing units that would provide a safety net to our program graduates. wWth our own housing we could help more family's attain sustainability and a return to dignity in their lives.

I have been actively involved with the board for 12 years. It is a great organization with excellent staff and crucial services for the community.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the caring staff and the devotion of the Executive Director, Jean Wegener, to see this non profit deliver the best services to the homeless community.

SPIN really helps the homeless in Orange County. They have a tremendous success rate, helping families become self sufficient. They offer a hand up, not a hand out. Their operations are lean and almost all of the money donated to them goes directly to housing, or other services. They really care, and I highly recommend donating to them, it will make you feel better when you know you are helping families right here in Orange County.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

You get to see how you are significantly helping families. These are real people living right next door.
