Review from Guidestar

On our first foray into the Southwest, Sedona beckoned. Our first stop, of course, was the Sedona Arts Center to view its magnificent array of art of all kinds. My immediate reaction was, "We have to live here! This mecca of art and artists will become the center of our lives!" Since that time we've not been disappointed. My husband and I stop by the Sedona Arts Center at least once a week to take in the ever-changing scene of art exhibits, workshops and lectures. Most important of all, this venue attracts the most gifted and the most dynamic artists in the region. I'm honored to be on the board of such an institution.

Since joining the Board of Directors I have learned so much about the Arts community and what a huge role the Arts Center has played over the past 50 years. I am proud to say that I support the Arts Center with its school, galleries and events that celebrate Sedona and the Arts. There is great comradery here and a "no pressure" supportive atmosphere to help each individual "Bring their imagination to Life". There have been many who have left a corporate career behind to pursue their love of painting, sculpture or ceramics and realize the joy of becoming a professional artist. I have found a stimulating place to expand my creativity and invite others to do so.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

producing the Sedona Plein Air Festival, great monthly exhibitions and drawing the community together for Loving bowls benefiting Meals on Wheels, Cottonwood Old Town Mission and the Sedona Arts Center Scholarship fund.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Exceptional! Warm hearted, knowledgeable and open to growing as human beings no matter what age they may be.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Rebuild our Art Barn to meet the needs of the community and become the vibrant hub of the Arts and be an incubator for non-profits in Sedona by providing infrastructure support. We would build an Arts Museum for new exhibitions.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every week
