This is such a wonderful organization! They've helped me make some of my most primary decisions, like where my food comes from. My family is almost completely self sufficient food-wise -- we have a garden, an efficient composting set up, milk goats, laying hens and honey bees. And we're just 2 blocks from Green Lake (very urban indeed). We never would have imagined we could do this without the Tilth classes - they were informative and inspiring.

Seattle Tilth is on the move to educate and activate the community in growing its own food here in Seattle and the surrounding community. They provide the best information for what to grow and how to grow it! The urban food movement is growing by leaps and bounds. I like it that their work teaches us how to stop stormwater polllution with safe gardening techniques.

Seattle Tilth has been my urban agriculture home for a good three years now! I started out on a Veggie Crew, then began volunteering and taking every class I could get my hands on, and am now receiving credit at Antioch University for my intern position in the Good Shepherd Center Learning Garden! Seattle Tilth has supported my learning in every way, showing me how to grow my own food, maintain a teaching garden, and teach others how to grow food, too! Through Tilth, I've also been able to connect with other diverse gardening communities and create a network of amazing teachers and cohorts in the world of sustainable urban agriculture. I love Seattle Tilth!

An incredible resource for organic gardeners in Seattle area. I've bought plants, walked the garden, taken classes, used there education resources (my school-age daughter). I bought their Maritime Gardening book. It goes on and on.
