I have been honored to be involved with Seamless Dance Theater for the last 3 years and the wonderful work it does for children and women in the Kansas City community. Seamless Dance, in short, provides a rare opportunity to hundreds of children each year to be exposed to the arts and specifically, dance. Many of the children would otherwise never have this exposure. Seamless is not only exposing them to this wonderful culture, but maybe even opening their eyes to something they too might participate in and become passionate about. The annual Seamless performances held at the GEM, at 18th and Vine, also provides the general public one of the best opportunities in KC to see professional dance unlike any other in town. Under the artistic direction of Erin Novak Lustig, the choreography is amazing and experiencing it can be life altering.
