SAVE THE FROGS is fantastic! They coordinated April 30th's Save The Frogs Day, which was the largest day of amphibian education in the planet's history, over 20 countries took part!

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

I see their new articles all over the place...they're getting the word out about amphibian extinctions...and ways people can help.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Get the university students involved!

More feedback...

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

They really get people involved, by providing free materials, and ideas on how everyone can contribute.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Really intelligent.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Make sure every kid in America grows up loving frogs!

Ways to make it better...

My experience has been great!

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Fundraising during a recession, and with so many other environmental catastrophes going on! Everyone should donate to SAVE THE FROGS, even if its only $20.

One thing I'd also say is that...

SAVE THE FROGS PEOPLE!!!

I'm a graduate student and use SAVE THE FROGS' free amphibian disease detection protocols to do my research. I wouldn't be able to do my research without this...Great organization!

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

They provide great scientific information on frogs...useful for students, teachers and scientists as well. Lots of free materials on savethefrogs.com

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Provide more student grants...but they are a young organization, so I'm sure we'll see more in the future!

More feedback...

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

They've got a lot of factual, well-written scientific info on their website.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Dr. Kriger gave a fantastic presentation at my university. Their customer service team is really helpful too when I've ordered shirts from them.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Wow, buy a huge chunk of Guatemalan rainforest.

Ways to make it better...

I'd heard about them a couple years ago!

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Fundraising, so go help them out! http://savethefrogs.com/donate

One thing I'd also say is that...

SAVE THE FROGS rocks! Frog Nation!

I am astonished by what I recently learned about Save The Frogs.com. There is no transparency about donations. Kerry, the founder, provides no info on how money is spent, and he does seem to use donations to pay his personal room and board and personal expenses. I am disgusted and will no longer donate to this sickening charade.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Learning about the founders squandering of donations for his personal gain

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Ask for transparency of donations received and for the founder to return the money he used.

More feedback...

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

How low a human being can sink to squander money intended for a good cause

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

dishonest

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

buy the founder a new home and car for himself

Ways to make it better...

I knew that my donations and others went to the cause of saving frogs instead of paying for the founder's lifestyle

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

honesty and transparency

One thing I'd also say is that...

This organization should really be investigated thoroughly

I was saddened to find that "savethefrogs" is a front for an otherwise unemployed individual to profit from. After careful research of this organization it it is clear that nearly all received funding goes toward paying the CEO's rent, meals and leisure activities, with little left to fund any direct efforts toward amphibian conservation. The CEO uses the group as a mechanism by which to pay his personal expenses, expand his social life and meet new women. The CEO, Kerry Kriger, has proven to be highly enthusiastic in pursuing social connections with naive, concerned female donors while remaining unwilling to pursue real conservation efforts. "Savethefrogs" serves as a model of non-profit abuse.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

my research of its funding and actual efforts. The group was formed by one individual who actually uses donations to pay his own rent. he serves (against corporate chartering protocols) as both CEO and a member of the board of directors.

SAVE THE FROGS is the only organization of its kind...a grassroots movement working to protect the world's frogs, which are rapidly going extinct. I love them!

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Save The Frogs Day! It's the world's largest day of amphibian education...and the best chance we have of getting people working to help these defenseless creatures.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Move the organization to my state!!!

More feedback...

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

They are completely original, and always get people motivated.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Extremely intelligent...all their work is based in the latest science.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Purchase a lot of rainforest.

Ways to make it better...

I had time to volunteer.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Growing and finding funding in this economy!

One thing I'd also say is that...

SAVE THE FROGS!

save the frogs is a greenwashing pseudo-charity that it's CEO uses to fund his day-day life. Technically, the 'charity' does little, if any, actual preservation work.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

its clear abuse of non-profit status and funding

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Replace its CEO/Founder with someone with integrity

More feedback...

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Nothing,. I am greatly disillusioned in knowing that there are people like this abusing funding

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

unseemly and disingenuous

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

do some good, but the CEO would VERY likely squander it maintaining on his personal life

Ways to make it better...

savethefrogs.com actually made any effort toward real conservation. Instead, the CEO uses donated money to pay his personal day-day expenses, and his time and the group's appeal to meet women.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

continuing to operate this enterprise

One thing I'd also say is that...

Non-profits like this, I would hope, are an exception, but all potential donors should seriously look at the financial before considering donating to it

I'm currently on the board of directors as Secretary for the Bay Area Amphibians and Reptiles Society in the San Francisco Bay Area. We are deeply committed to saving frogs everywhere, and Save the Frogs will come speak to our club next month. The director / president, Kerry Kriger, is a very dedicated person and he is doing wonderful things for his non-profit, giving talks to educate people, sponsoring grants, providing materials for others to use in promoting ways to save frogs. This organization absolutely deserves recognition for being the only non-profit group focused on saving frogs, and for making it happen!

More feedback...

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

The very positive attitude that we can do something to make a difference, and that each step any one of us takes to help is valuable. Kerry Kriger is very engaging and willing to speak at any opportunity to educate others on the dire situation.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Absolutely wonderful, very willing to explain about frogs and what is causing their population decline. Their enthusiasm carries their dedication to others.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Save frogs worldwide!!! Find a way to prevent frogs from dying from the chytrid fungus. Find ways to save frogs from extinction every day. Find ways to get people involved in the ecology that frogs are the bellwether for.

My daughter and I found and joined Save the Frogs after watching a documentary about the amphibian crisis. The information and resources Save the Frogs provides on their website are fantastic, especially the materials and activities for kids. We drew heavily on STF resources when creating a short video for my daughter to share with her class: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NbcROOuc1Zw This organization has inspired her very serious outreach and advocacy efforts (and has made me the proudest parent possible).

We were inspired by the wonderful and valuable work by Dr Kriger. His sharing of information and resources helped make our effort an incredible success. He even came up to visit us in Canada, and spoke at several venues. It's easy to talk about the environment... but to actually go out and do real work with an animal that many disregard and forget, says a lot about SAVE THE FROGS! and Dr Kriger. We support this important work, and wish SAVE THE FROGS and all amphibians success!
