SAVE THE FROGS!
Invite reviews
Although Save The Frogs mainly raises awareness in conserving the amphibian populations, they have done multiple habitat conservation projects; like raising the Red-Legged Frog population at Antonelli Pond in Santa Cruz. They also fought hard to shut down the local Sharp Park gold coarse in order to preserve the land for the endangered species inhabiting that area.

Educating people is the most important thing in raising awareness in a given community. Save the Frogs does a great job speaking to students of all ages, alerting them about the current issue amphibians face and the problems humans will soon face if they continue using poisonous chemicals like Atrazine in farming, even the sale of frog legs in restaurants. Stopping the extinction of frogs is a long fragile process but SAVE THE FROGS is helping everywhere they can.

No convinced at all by this tiny group. They organize trip to Belize to see frogs, not sure how they will save frogs! Frogs need long term projects in the field, frogs needs to have habitat protected! work on that and things will get better!

Eduction for frogs should be done where it is needed the most which means outside the US! To save the frogs we need strong field conservation projects like saving habitats in the tropics! A good frog NGO is Amphibia Ark a great alliance to save the frogs!! http://www.amphibianark.org/the-crisis/amphibian-survival-alliance/

Save the frogs focus on education, sadly many frog species are vanishing now because their habitats are vanishing. Other charities have better comprehensive approach to save frogs around the world.

I love SAVE THE FROGS! They run campaigns to get harmful pesticides banned, protect land, get dissections out of schools and frog legs out of restaurants. And they organize Save The Frogs Day, which gets educational events going in about 40 countries! Nobody does a better job advocating for the frogs and educating people about protecting the environment than SAVE THE FROGS!

They only do education in bay area mostly (and frogs in Bay Area need habitat protection and acquisition). Further their small program in Africa has a very low chance of success.

SAVE THE FROGS is fantastic! They coordinated April 30th's Save The Frogs Day, which was the largest day of amphibian education in the planet's history, over 20 countries took part!
The Great!
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
I see their new articles all over the place...they're getting the word out about amphibian extinctions...and ways people can help.
Ways to make it better...
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Get the university students involved!

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
They really get people involved, by providing free materials, and ideas on how everyone can contribute.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
Really intelligent.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
Make sure every kid in America grows up loving frogs!
Ways to make it better...
My experience has been great!
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
Fundraising during a recession, and with so many other environmental catastrophes going on! Everyone should donate to SAVE THE FROGS, even if its only $20.
One thing I'd also say is that...
SAVE THE FROGS PEOPLE!!!
How frequently have you been involved with the organization?
About every month
